Hopefully enough people will see this and start arming themselves, i know this sounds stupid and ill get flamed but thats why you carry a concealed weapon(with permit), if that was a family member and i was there i would have opened fire on the worthless cops
Or be like growdrowithme and waste your money on a taser and a 357 and a 45

I am kind of sickened by the majority of the posts I see here, the cop was a rookie... does everyone here believe he just executed some dude in front of his fellow officers and 3 dozen people?

adrenaline just like when they would beat the holy shit out someone they stopped after a car chase before dash cams ,i don't think the idea was to pull the trigger but more for cover ,in that split second that cop changed the lives of countless people can anyone say it was intentional???

Happens due to poor training, you obviously didn't pay closer attention to the video, because he barely took any kind of stance, aimed as in shooting a tazer, and pulling the trigger thinking it was a tazer. Accidents happen, I'm sure you've had many of them, some more serious than others.

Yes, I do believe he did exactly that.
I believe you're mistaken, he was newly married and his child was born last Friday, I seriously doubt anyone in that mindset would execute someone much less an officer in front of his peers.

True, but, this guy didn't. He did it with a bunch of people around.....this was not an accident, I believe the video clearly shows this was not an accident.
I believe the video clearly shows it WAS an accident, his face and demeanor after the shot clearly shows him falling apart and asking what the fuck just happened.

I am sorry for the officer involved because of how hard this must be on him, and for the family of the deceased... and I understand how some with this perceived notion of all cops are bad would lash out, but what is happening in CA right now because of this is nothing short than a bunch of animals out of their cage and it's sick... don't worry, let it get out of control and watch martial law be set in real quick, it's all fine and dandy until the bullets start flying.

i agree he did have the ???FUCK??? look on his face but i dont think it should matter if he meant it or not, it happened. i just dont think cops get the same criminal trial or criminal record that us civillians would if we did this and this pisses me off more than anything.

if they weren't immune to the laws i bet they would probably think the same as me and you when it comes to pointing a gun or shooting someone. i think fdd said it earlier dont point a gun at something you dont intend on shooting

there has to be a better way, i lost a friend to a cop shooting last year. in the same town officers from the same police dept. walked into a neighbors backyard after complaints of loud music and his rottie greeted the officer at the gate next thing you know the cop shoots the dog.

I agree, it did happen, and believe me he will get in trouble just the same as any other citizen who accidentally shoots someone, some sort of manslaughter charge is what I assume he will be hit with and will more than likely serve jail time. Just the fact that he is a newlywed and just had a baby born last week severely puts a hole in the "he just executed that guy" theory... As for the pointing the gun at something you dont intend to shoot thing, I think the gun serves as a mediating device between two opposing parties... now, I will agree with not putting your finger on the trigger unless you intend to shoot something.

This execution thing happens all the time. The camera tells the story.

This is a class thing not just a race thing. We are disposable.
What happens when the camera is not there? ....Police reports you were at fault.

I know. I've heard stories of crazy shit that happens like murders getting written off as suicides because they're too lazy to investigate. And that's from my local PD, what happens everywhere else when no ones around to see it?

Be scared, we may be next.
Patriot act, ricco, just a way to circumvent due process.

"Transit cop executes youth"

so a father doesn't kill?

what the fuck ever. dude killed a man and is now hiding like a coward. EVERY other cop there gave a statement. his action are making him look even worse. if it was an accident why is he hiding? doesn't the family deserve the respect of at least giving a statement? why is he waiting?

why is BART apologizing for a man who doesn't even work for them anymore? because he won't do it himself. he's a coward. should never have applied as a cop. picked on as a kid.
