ever heard of "community watch"? someone walks down my street and 5 people are watching them the whole time. we all look out for each other. it appeared to me as if any fight that had taken place was long over. since when does a cop have to KILL a man to break up an argument? yeah, just what we need.

things need to be done differently. this is happening everyday in the US. it's wrong.

If you can't tell the difference between a taster and a gun, you're retarded. They have completely different safety features, so the process going into firing one is different than the other. The instant you flip the safety off you know it's a gun because the taser has it's safety in a different place.

Not that it would have been OK to taser an incapacitated person either, considering the whole idea behind tasers wasn't to create something to be used to force compliance but rather to stop people escaping, attacking, etc.

I love tasers, they're a great invention, but people use them in all the wrong situations.

i think the family woulda liked him being tasered rather then shot..

I'll bet that gun was a glock. They are very popular with police. The safety is on the trigger so they always keep one in the chamber and all they have to do is point and shoot. It very well could have been accidental, hell a while back, an undercover cop pulled his gun from his waistband and shot his dick off, a glock, That was a red letter day. I wonder what all the other cops did that day, I'll bet they were laughing their heads off, and vowing to never let that happen to them

There is only one person professional enough to handle a Glock in this room. Lol. DEA agent shoots himself in the foot.

The incident "has all the earmarks of manslaughter or a second-degree murder case," the lawyer said.

WTF?
The guy was looking down from above him and the guy was shot in the back...
How can that be an accident? Police are trained to use guns. If they are going to carry it in their duties and be responsible enough to know when to pull it out they should damn well know how to use it and control it properly.
With all of the train bombing stuff that happened in the UK I understand why train cops have guns... But for a fight? Whatever happened to excessive use of force?

That girl who was taping said that they tried to get her camera from her as well. I wonder where that evidence would have went had she given that tape over...:(
She knew if she gave that tape up that this would never be gotten to the bottom of...
Had it not been for that door they may have whipped her ass for that!

This makes me mad and sad as well but all in all theres nothing anyone can really do about it. Im sure "accidents" happen all of the time but if there isnt a camera there nothing will be done about it.

there's been a lot of this type of thing happening for a long time now in my state but the cop either gets off or gets suspended with pay. wtf is that shite w/pay? that does'nt sound like any punishment to me or even if it isnt about punishment do you think the guy goes home "with pay" andspends his days saying i really regret what i did.only in the past year or so have the state police and feds stepped in to have a look at all the "accidental" shootings by cops here. but its about time im tellin ya the more media this thing gets the better cops cant hide from media.

I saw something on a police show on tv once, one of those real life police things, where some guy was drunk and talking to his friend a bit loud in the street, four police officers came up to him right in his face and told him they would arrest him if he didn't shut up, so he told them to fuck off like anyone would. They all jumped on him and pinned him to the floor, he struggled a bit so they hand cuffed him and tasered him, then he called one of the female officers a stupid bitch and said it was police brutality so she got her taser out while he was handcuffed and started zapping him! It's seriously fucked up when police can arrest and torture someone for something that they said. And they showed that on tv, nobody seemed to care.
