Look I know half of you grow a lot of weed and hate to see posts like this so if that applies to you fuck off and move on to the next post. I'm a first time grower and as of right now i'm excited as hell to be ready to hang these plants. I know there isn't a good way to accurately guess final weight from pictures but I see no reason why not to take 1 minute and take a look at the picture and just take a guess...if that means 5 retarded answers for every 1 real estimate then so be it. I have a poll for which plant will yield the most and if you want to comment on what all six plants combined will be I will update in 2 weeks when I have those numbers...Thanks Smokemonster32

Are you using 800w total or one 400mh for veg and a 400w hps for flower? It looks like you'll get a decent amount. I dunno 12-14 oz?
No I used the MH for vegging and the HPS for flower so just 400w at a time...it was a small tent so temp would have been a problem with anything more then a 400w...here they are hanging up. I weighed them wet and if they hold 25% of the wet weight I should get a little more then 7 oz but who knows haha.

haha I wish...I'm not trying to be a dick I just hate it when people act like complete hardos over a stupid weed forum questions. Granted this is my first harvest but I don't think I'll ever not get excited over ready to harvest buds.

I always said....there can be no time like harvest time ! Its the fun part of all the work and planning that went into it. It sometimes seems like a long time coming.

"By and by the harvest, and the labor ended, We shall come rejoicing, bringing in the sheaves. Going forth with weeping, sowing for the Master,"

" Bringing in the sheaves"

I have always figured that the weight it is wet, will reduce by 70% when it is dry. Just weighting the fresh cut buds. Not sure if that really helps you while they are still in their buckets but....lol - just some tib-bits. Just something someone once told me that seems to be pretty accurate...I think.

no offence but they all look pretty shit wtf did u do to them ???? i recon half a p all up
My uncle prunes his setiva's that way. lol - The first time I saw them in like their 7 week of bloom, they had some pretty healthy big buds....but it was just odd looking. I had NEVER seen anyone prune their plants like that before. I seriously asked him what was wrong with them. I thought he was showing the plants to me because something f'd up happened, Lol. I have no room to talk about how much is too much when trimming though, I have only done one run myself and I should have pruned my plants way more. Now that things are drying I can see where I should have just cut some whole branches off and given that energy to the bigger buds...but, that is the big debate "to prune or not to prune - take everything off or to take just a little off... " Doesn't look like he has any actual buds that would just go into the 'baked goods' pile. The way I trimmed mine - I have a lot of smaller buds that I am just turning into cookies :-/ Cookies are good though!

What all look like shit? I'm guessing you mean the way I tried to cut the undergrowth of the plants. I'm completely new to growing and I didn't realize how bushy or big my plants would get so when I transplanted my 6 plants and they exploded with growth my tent got completely over grown. Obviously I didn't want to just throw away two healthy plants so I tried to cut off all of my under growth because I heard the weed from down there is just small popcorn buds and not even worth having anyways. I needed to do this and drop a fan right above my soil to get any airflow and not have any mold problems.

Hey man the old world measurements were a joke....K? You see the thing is this. It's VERY hard to give an accurate answer as all we see are pictures....No real way to judge size and density of your bud.
Some where tween 6-8 zips. Lower amount listed is most likely.

Ya I'm about to have 4 more plants go into my tent and I will try to not cut so much off of those because I should have more space to stagger them. I do which I have some more small buds for cookies...I tried to make some butter from my sugar leaf trim and i'm guessing that I should have cooked them longer or let the leaves dry out more before trying to make the butter because they aren't that strong. I got another 1.5 oz of trim i'm letting dry out and giving it one more shot in a crock pot this time so hopefully that attempt goes better.

You most likely forgot to "decarbolize" the trim!
Bake at 300F for 8-10 min and then make butter or oil infuse.
Use well dry trim or buds.
Be ready to spend some hours in a chair,,,,,,LOL!!

haha no worries man I know they are a joke. I also completely understand that it is annoying when people put their pictures up asking how much they should get but at the same time this is my first grow so i'm excited about it. I just figured that if people are going to get all butt hurt about me asking just move on to the next post. I personally like trying to guess plants weights as long as the user updates final dry weights...There should be a sub section for this to not take up general marijuana growing space.

I did the double boil and wrapped the trim in cheese cloth and cooked in butter for 4 hours on a low temp...the butter looks green andsmells like weed but just isn't potent. I would guess I just used too much butter. The next time I am completely drying out the trim and I'm cooking it in a crock pot on low for like 12 hours and then going to just strain all the buds out afterwards.
