Guerilla Irrigation Solution

I have been looking up remote areas on google earth near a water source for this year.
I stumbled upon this thing (http://www.riferam.com/river/index.htm). It is called a sling pump or river pump and requires no electricity.

Wondering if anyone has used these or has plans for an alternate system using a resivoir tank and hoses. I am not afraid to carry water but that pump looks so great. It gets very hot and dry without rain for long periods of time where i am. I have some ideas in my head but just looking for any info the might help the process.

Wow that's pretty cool. Only thing that sucks is its high visibility and need for running water, but if you got a well hidden spot near a river ur set

I depends on your definition of remote. Mine involves quite a hike (miles) and must make me feel like i am the only person who has ever been there. I know that i am not the only person who has ever been in the areas i grow in but i aim for places that are highly unlikely to have human visitors. In the area that i live where the choppers are always going i also know how to mask objects from the eye in the sky. it seems like it it beats solar pannels, batteries and a full day of hiking water in.

Near a water source your main concern is gonna be pests; insects, deer, and other assorted vermin..assuming you're correct on the two-legged kind..

that looks nice and i bet u can get it in different colours like isntead blue black and if u have it where a tree(s) is hanging over the stream/river then paint ti black and you set

for that white tubing id just change it with black and hten bury the line a couple inches problem solved

true. thanks for the input. yeah, I'll be way out there. gotta watch for those damn critters, but something always seems to happen to a couple here and there. might have to invest in a shotgun too haha. just gotta scrounge up some extra dough. Thanks again, hopefully i can afford it.
