Guerilla Insurance (Cellphone Trail Camera)

Hey RIU, I havent seen a thread about trail cameras in a while. So, I use a badass cellphone simcard powered trailcam. http://www.amazon.com/Covert-Scouting-Camera-Special-wireless/dp/B00806KGY6

I also use coverts bear box(metal box) and a masterlock Python weaves through the actual camera and then through the bear box a couple times. The result is a safe with a infrared hd camera inside. The camera would take pics based on motion and send them to my cellphone in less than a minute. In case of badges showing up, the camera has commands that you can send it. One of which deletes the recipient of the pictures. Yea, it is awesome, but expensive ($250).

What do you use?

No to mention my AT&T service didn't even have a signal at Walmart, let alone a remote spot in the woods.

All that's gonna tell you is who stole your weed.....the cops or thieves. Then what? Maybe save you a trip back there, except to retrieve the camera....

Hey Boss, I live in KY and have an ATT cell tower in the middle of my outdoor grow area, for real. I plant close AF to it to hopefully dissuade the KSP in their choppers. Thought I lived in the sticks, lol.

A hoody, hat or mask and your insurance is useless....
I dont care to know who it is there...except if they are lawmen. That is the whole purpose. If I get ripped by some shmo then oh well. If its a lawman in the pic, then I have to delete my info(phone#) from the camera immediately before it is found.

As far as service goes...Im not to far out in the sticks. It worked wonderfully last year and only needed 1 new set of batteries from april-nov.

It would be worth its weight in gold to know ahead of time if LEO have stumbeled across your grow.

Yea that is alllll I care about. One cop/badge on my grow and I am done. I can make it to my spot in less than 15 minutes if I was being ripped (I might catch the schmucks). If the response time from the time of photo to my cell was slower than 1 minute I would reconsider using it, but its so DAMN fast!

Maybe you could leave a cheap cell phone nearby & call it when you see thieves.....see if they will answer, or maybe run away......
