The seedlings hatched to a success rate to about 70%. I currently have 38 little plants total planted in soil and grown indoor for 3 days now. I still have some seeds that have not hatched and some planted but not progressing but I am generally happy till now!
Here is their first time in soil:
This is the spot I m gonna be using to grow them for at least 3 weeks to maybe a month to give them a good start for the outside world!(The lamp showing is not for the plants!!)
The indoor growbox although not complete is functional. When I m finished with it its gonna be very stealth (the box was used for nothing in the past infact it was a screwed together box that didnt even have a hatch)
I currently use a 32watt coolwhite and a 20watt warmwhite cfl total 50watts I know its very little but without proper ventilation I will not raise the wattage... Remember the box is about 60cmX60cm and only 40cm high. 2 sq feet and 12 in high for u imperials... Tomorrow im gonna drill the wall next to the growbox and make two 2in holes that lead outside and fit atleast the exhaust with a small silent pc fan. So if i have enough time I will also install the rest of the cfls I bought that make up to 152watts wich is acceptable for the volume of the box. The lamps are mixed spetrum 80watts warm and 72watts coolwhite and if the ventilation proves enough maybe I will push it to 200watts adding some more I got.
Dont worry! the monster in the center is 2 weeks older tan the rest (couldnt wait to try some germing!) .Today I will finish adding reflective surface to the walls of the box for max efficiency. At this point I will say that I believe using mirror like surfaces with cfls can prove to be better than white paint or even white mylar because of the cfls low intensity. We shall see! This pic is from yesterday the black tape was removed and replaced with reflective tape and the box was perfectly lightproof.
The 10 feminised PPP seeds I bought lately were the fastest to germ (all of them in to days) and all of them became healthy little plants) They show their sativa phenotype (All the tallest plants are the PPP) in height. Yes I know theyre abit streched!
Well thats it lets see some nice comments maybe some suggestions?
