Gstatus's first indoor. (CFL)

Whats good world.

I came across a couple seeded ounces the other day and decided to pick all the seeds out. A little over 10 seeds germinated.

I went out to my local walmart and bought the following items to get started.

One 42 Watt cfl
One Heavy duty reflector with clamp.
Two 26 Watt cfl
One Y splitter. (socket)
2 bags of Potting soil.
Nutrients for later on.
And a bottle lamp kit
And a heater/fan that i had purchased earlier in the year.

Yesterday i put each germinated seed in its own plastic cup to start them off.

I took pictures of the setup i just have to find my cord to put em up.

I'll update pictures and status every chance i can get.

Good luck with your first indoor grow. What lighting schedule do you plan on using for veg? 24/-? 18/6? Some where in between?

Actually i dont have one yet.
Id like to do 24/0 for a while but i only keep the lights on when im home and sleeping.
They're probably getting fucked up because of the different time schudeles they're getting but thats all i can do now.
Whats up with a timer are they easy to work?

Timers are real easy to use, at least the ones I have seen. All you do is plug the timer into an outlet, set the timers on's and off's (which is easy), then plug in your light and thats it. You can find pretty cheap timers in different places. I've even seen some pretty nice timers in pet stores in the reptile sections and aquarium sections.

I'm not using a timer for my grow yet either. I basically alternate days between 24/- and 20/4. I do this so that I can mist my plants with a weak superthrive solution after I turn off the light (I've heard you shouldn't mist your plants with the light on for various reasons).

The lady at the gardening store gave me nutrient "spikes". She kept asking what i was growing and i told her tomatoes. So she insisted i bought those.

I bought my superthrive at the local hydroponics store. I think you can find it in larger gardening centers. Next time someone is bothering you about why you want a certain product you could feign ignorance and say "I don't know, its on the list my friend/parent/spouse gave me."

Wow, just found out im going to jamaica on a 5 day cruise and in flordia for 2 nights.
So, i was wondering what to do with my plants.
I have to catch a plane at 1:00
If i just left them i know i'll most likely come back to dead plants or severly stretched unhealthy plants. I dont really wanna leave my lights on thinking it could start a fire. But i was thinking of just leaving one 15 watt flood CFL light on the whole time. And using some kind of drip method for watering while im gone? Soda bottle with a shoelace?
Im baked out my mind right now so sorry if this seems ..........racey? lol idk

Aight i just got back from the cruise and jamaica was the shit.
I happened to get about 23 seeds from this local strain we were blazing.
Last minute i called my friend and he came by and watered my plants twice while i was gone. They're doing pretty good i got pictures just gotta find this cord.
Im going to start a side grow tomorrow with 2 of the jamaican seeds

I got kicked out of my apartment and had to donate my plants to unexperienced friends.
