growzilla dual hood

Hello everyone I'm considering buying this hood and was wondering in a 3x3 grow tent would two 400 watt hps be better than one 600 keep in mind the hood is a dual bulb so two lights in one hood any help would be great thanks

600 is perfect for 3x3. The 2x 400s is overkill IMO unless you're using CO2 and have proper ventilation.

Using co2, and have proper ventilation? I'm a little confused, please explain.

If youre going to mix MH and HPS then it would definitely be nice. but if you plan to run just hps id get a 600 watt.

Just your plants need a certain amount of CO2 to be able to use that much light effectively, and that much light also produces a lot of heat.

So your saying we should be exhausting while using co2 enrichment?

No I ment ventilation as in cooling.. you obviously want to keep the CO2 in the room but that much light in that space will produce more heat than CO2 will compensate for. Ideally you want an air cooled hood.

In a 3x3? I would probably just use one 400-watt HPS. But if you must, go with just one 600. Two ballasts = 2X the problems.

Growzilla sales a heat shield for that dual bulb reflector. Look for it. Good luck!!!!!!
