Growtent in bedroom - can I close the window when it gets cold?

Hi fellow growers,

I got a 80cm x 80cm grow tent running under dimmable 480w LEDs in my bedroom.
I like to leave the window cracked open at all times for fresh air, but since it's been such a cold winter here, the grow tent's average temperature is at 21C / 70F, RH 45-60%. When I close the window, I can get it up to 25C, which I think the plants would like more.
I have no ducting connected from the window opening to the tent. Air gets sucked in passively from the room and vents into the same room.

My questions.

1) I always assumed I have to leave the windows open for fresh air. Is that a fact? Does it have any negative when I have the window closed at times? That way the grow tent climate would be 25C / 50%rh.

2) Is there a difference if the air gets sucked in directly from outside into the grow tent vs when the air inside the room gets sucked into the grow tent?

3) How important is it to have the exhaust vented outside the room, where the grow tent is in?

It's fine to keep your window closed when it's cold out, the co2 produced by you is enough to keep the plant healthy. You only need to vent outside if it get's too hot inside due to the heat from your light source, so you may not have to do it at all, esp if you use air conditioning in the summer. One thing you should keep track of is your relative humidity, so get a hygrometer if you don't have one already. Plants add a lot of humidity to the air and it can get dangerously high quickly depending on your personal conditions, # of plants, etc. You want to keep it under 50% rh during flowering ideally, to help prevent PM and botrytis, though for drying, that's a whole other discussion. Hi Rurumo, thanks a lot for your feedback. Good to know I can keep the windows closed without ill effects on the plants. I slept thru many cold nights believing my plants need it more than me :) I do have a hygrometer and that is manageable.
