mixed nutes up for next watering... 5 ml grow, 5 ml bloom, 6ml an big bud, 5 ml molasses, checking ph on them now...6. made 3 gallons, was going to take a pic just to be sure im reading it correct, but it is the exact same as the las pics i took wich are posted previously. i think mi seeing the auto affie bred into the Twog, because i am seeing the white pistols all over it turning reddish orange. just a few mind you, on like 6 buds. so im watching her intently, to see any other changes. the others are all coming along at a normal pace, they are a little smaller than i thought. but they were abused by the learning curve.

Baby steps.
The TWOG does tend to show early and can be taken early but I leave them until everything comes in. Will be interesting to see indoor finishing times. The "AUTO" part is gone but the finishing time is decreased. Eagle should land Mon or Tue

awesome, thanks. im watching the twog and cred fill out daily, the cred looks like magic wands, chrystally dense little nugs growing up the 4 main stalks. i see that twog is gonna want to finish a little earlier, still far from ripe, but getting there. glad to know youre still followin, will put up some new pics soon as get the camera back.

side note.. the jackie-o in the water farm.. the first of the 2 seeds he had was male, and it was of course the lush plant that got the most attention. he now hads tplanted the female twog into the water farm and said it is budding nicely, looking to just be one cola bud.

Plant Diagnosis

Cannabis plants in cultivation can encounter a wide variety of problems. Here you will be able to find pictures of common ailments and links to information and solutions pertaining to them.

Common Ailments:

Ph:

-Common problem with indoor cultivation
-Curled and twisted leaves are evidence of a Ph problem
-Brown/yellow/red spots
-Progressing eventually to nutrient lockout

Temperature:

-Leaf margins curled upwards (Heat stress)
-Deformed leaves
-Bleaching (Heat stress)
-Slow growth
-Stems, buds, and leaves may begin to turn reddish purple (Cold stress)

Light burn:

-White, bleached portions of leaves nearest the light
-Burnt necrotic patches if the damage is severe

Over/Under watering:

-Dropping leaves
-Leaf margins curl upwards [see picture under temperature stress]
-Leaves eventually hang completely limp and get crispy to the touch (Under watering)
-Roots rot in extreme cases (Over watering)

Macro Nutrient Deficiencies:

Nitrogen (N):

-Slow stunted growth
-Progresses from the bottom upwards
-Thin, weak stems
-Pale green leaves worsening to yellow

Phosphorus (P):

-Slow stunted growth
-stem turns reddish purple starting at the leaves
-Dark brown/purple/black necrotic patches appear on older leaves radiating from the veins
-Tips turn brown and curl downwards

Potassium (K):

-Chlorosis moves upwards from older leaves rapidly progressing to necrotic lesions most visible on margins and tips
-Branches easily broken
-Stems may stretch
-Similar to iron deficiency except for curled margins and tips

(Pic: Toad)

Calcium (Ca):

-Affects new growth first
-Terminal buds and root tips die back
-Necrotic patches on margins and near leaf base

(Temporary picture, submissions requested)

Sulpher (S):

-General chlorosis (lightening of leaves while retaining green color)
-Chlorosis similar to nitrogen deficiency but appears all over plant, not concentrated in the older leaves
-Necrotic patches can appear on petiole
-Distinct pink/red coloring of underside of leaves and stems

(Temporary picture, submissions requested)

Magnesium (Mg):

-Commonly deficient in Cannabis
-Yellowing of lower leaves progressing upwards with severity
-Interveinal yellowing
-Rust brown patches on leaf margins, tips and between veins

Micro Nutrient Deficiencies:

Boron (B):

-General chlorosis visible on new growth first
-Necrosis of meristematic tissue
-Loss of apical dominance
-Hollow or roughened stems
-Similar to calcium deficiency

Copper (Cu):

-Downward curling of leaves and petioles
-Chlorosis and loss of turgor of young leaves
-Netted green veining around areas of grey-white bleeching

Zinc (Zn):

-Interveinal and/or marginal chlorosis appears on new leaves
-Pitting may occur, similar to calcium or iron deficiency

(Temporary picture, submissions requested)

Iron (Fe):

-Chlorosis occurs near base of leaves on new growth
-Interveinal regions turn pale or white but the veins remain dark green
-Bleaching continues moving down to the rest of the plant and necrotic spots appear on the leaves

(Temporary picture, submissions requested)

Chloride (Cl):

-Rarely, if ever, deficient in cultivated plants
-Chlorosis and wilting of young leaves in characteristic depressed regions
-Bronzing of the upper side of mature leaves

Manganese (Mn):

-Light chlorosis of young leaves with green veins (similar to iron deficency)
-Leaves aquire a metallic/purple sheen
-Dark grey freckles appear progressiong to necrotic regions which enlarge and eventually kill the leaf

Molybdenum (Mo):

-Initial symptoms similar to nitrogen deficiency
-Mottled leaves
-General chlorosis
-If severe, leaves develop a unique orange coloration

(Temporary picture, submissions requested)

Pests:

Spider mites:

-Most common pest indoors
-Appear as small specks on the underside of leaves. Use a magnifying glass to see them and their small milky eggs
-Create minuscule webs between buds and branches
-Small white spots appear on the top of a leaf (stippling) from where they have been eating the plant

(Pic: Annom)

(Pic: Annom)

(Pic: Yrat)

(Pic: Yrat)
<--- severe "stippling" damage from spider mites
(Pic: Yrat)

How to Kill Spider Mites - Get Rid of Spider Mite Infestation on Cannabis
(Link: Geokills)

Thrips:

-Tiny (<1mm), slender insects with fringed wings
-Leave observable piles of black fecal matter
-Thrips gorge the underside of the leaves and eat the contents. The upper side of the leaf becomes stippled and takes on a silvery sheen.

(Temporary picture, submissions requested)

White Flies:

-Miniscule white fly
-dusty/waxy appearance
-Fly away from shaken plants in swarms
-Premature stage appear as scales on leaves and stems
-Stippling of leaves if severe

(Temporary picture, submissions requested)

Fungus Gnats:

-Small (1-2 mm) black/brown flies similar in appearance to a mosquito
-Thrive in moist environments
-Tend to run away before taking flight if provoked
-Place a potato wedge on the soil to attract the worm like larvae and aid identification

(Temporary picture, submissions requested)

Scale:

-Often unrecognized as an insect
-Immature scales lack a head or any other discernible body part but are small, round, 'humps' that cling to foliage, flowers, and stems
-The immature scale inserts a mouthpiece into the plant and may cause loss of vigor if numbers are sufficient

(Temporary picture, submissions requested)

Aphids:

-Stunted growth and lack of vigor
-mottled leaves (stippling)
-yellowing of leaves
-Honeydew deposits found on leaves and stems

<- ants will often "farm" aphids outdoors
(Pics: Yrat)

Caterpillars:

-Larval stage of butterflies and moths
-Voracious feeders
-Can burrow into stems and buds causing many other problems including infection, and structural instability

(Pics: Simisu)

Diseases:

Powdery Mildew:

-Light spots appear on leaf tops
-Fine white/grey powder visible on leaves and stems
-Slow growth and loss of vigor
-Leaves eventually curl, yellow, and die

(Pic: Msmr5150)

(Pic: msmr5150)
Tobacco Mosaic Virus:

-Light green coloration radiating from veins
-Mottled mosaic pattern begins to appear on leaves
-Symptoms most apparent on young leaves
-Leaves may exhibit odd growth such as twisting, stretching, and crinkling

(Pic: Annom)

(Pic: Annom)

Stem Rot:

-Irregular black lesions around soil line
-Infected stem begins to rot
-Strands of mycelium may be visible in the decayed flesh
-Stem becomes soft and unable to bear weight

(Pic: FullySikMate)

Root Rot:

-Fungal infection of the roots general resulting from low oxygen levels, high root zone temperature, and excess water
-Roots develop an odor of decay, slimy texture, are soft and easily broken when handled
-Causes general drooping of the foliage and slows growth

cool got new seeds in mail today. thanks bro.
hmm, havent been able to get on pc for a few days, heres whats happend since.
i flushed the cinder block, (lol) and the c-red 4 days ago. took about 6 gallons apiece. after the flush (cause of the nute deficency and general, lockup) i halfway tplanted the cred.
halfway you say?
i took a large pot and put a bunch of fresh soil in the bottom, then i cut the bag about 3/4 way down and carefully peeled the bag away, then carefully set the rootball down into the bucket, had about 3-4 inches clearence all the way around. then i poured in more soil on top and packed it down around the bag so it was completely covered. i did the same with the twog today. my girls are really gettin abused this go around... i wish i had thought things through better before getting started. but the excitement was just too much. looking to upgrade to a dwc perpetual system/ or possibly just 3 or 4 waterfarm style buckets.

got some seeds today like i said
more twog, twog x jackie-o, twog x c-red eager to find a mother from them. the cred is so damn chrystally, and the twog has large bud formations, didnt get to see any jackie-o. well greenbud has one in his waterfarm, but its even rougher than mine!! its budding, but looks like an AF its so small. like a pc stealth plant. might get a 1/2 O off her. but thats expecting alot. should be able to get an ounce off each in my tent, except the labella.
she is still so spindly, alot of bud sites, but they just refuse to get any larger than a dime.... but theres like 80 small buds.. popccorn buds though. no tight cola's. the dominant cola's are thinish in comparrison to all the others. each of the 5 tops is about the thockness of a sharpie marker... the rest are about as thick as the top of a ketchup bottle. hoping to get the cam back over the weekend. but things are still very light green. no lushness. sad.... also still having the decay on a few of the fan leaves on the cred, even after the flush? dont know why. i thought correcting the nutes. and a flush would bring her back.
the twog is starting to look very festive. lots of hairs are turning orange. hoping i can borrow a micro soon from someone, all i have is a weak ass magnifying glass. not adequate. would like to wait a few more weeks.

watered today, 2 gallons between the 4, this is the twoggs last nutes i think. want to flush for the chop in a few weeks. the flush for harvest... do i go apeshit like the flush to clean her? or do i just water with straight h20 for the next few weeks?

Remember they are F2's, so there's lots of variability except for the TWOG. Unfortunately, the TWOG is not a big producer but what it does yield will be your top shelf meds. The other two would be just a guess.
Try Radio Shack for a small magnifier w/light <10.00

The Jackio in the water farm is growing massively everyday ....thought it would have died ,but now looks to be promising .looks like a bonsia tree ...so tight and compact but loaded with bud

heres a few pics. only had an ipod or something. tried to get a few shots of the SEEDS!! in the labella strawberry. the hermie of the feminized must be shining through. she still has quite a bit of filling out to do before harvest, but with this being the 4th seed ive seen on her im thinking i should go ahead and chop her. will this hermie pollinate the rest? i dont see any male flowers. just seeds in the calyx or cola.

the twog is lookin fat nice about the size of a 20 oz bottel. cred 4 chrystal wands, filling out somewhat.
next nutes tomorow i think.
made it yesterday, 5ml grow, 6 ml bloom, 5 ml molasses, 6 ml AN bigbud. ph was a little low, like 6 dont have any up.

still having the decay on the older fan leaves, keep fallingoff, surely they arent that close to harvest. to small still. but i have corrected the nutes, flushed and still the older leaves keep falling. Notice how they fill out around the stem as opposed to a xmas tree style cola? Love the coloring in the Cred mix but not sure where the blue comes from. Shore is a pretty cola though.
Don't worry about the older fan leaves. That's the plants way of delivering all the vital nutrition needed during flower and ridding it6self of uneeded growth. I cull these leaves on a regular basis during veg. leaving just enough for photosynthesis to occur.
What's in cinderblock other than the tell-tale Ogres look of the plant?
Need final bud shots just prior to harvesting if you would. You should have lots of genetics to play around with. I'm still amazed at the Cred's cola which looked nothing like the original. A good 50/50 mix you were lucky to find running so few seeds. Let me know what you think of the TWOG (et al) as a med. Good recovery from a poor start.
Greenbud, run some more of the JackiO's rather than expend all your energy on a bonzai tree. Perhaps a convict can help you out with some.
I've attatched a pic of the original Cred to compare. They were 10 days after flip.

was looking at the girls, and found more of those seed pods on the labella, so i pulled her and have been flushing her in shower, going to let her set someplace dark for a few days then cut her. the sadder part, was as i was looking around at the others just to be safe... i found a big ol seed right on the top of twog... just the one, hopefully... cant see any others right now.
watered a gallon between the 4 today, they got watered last on the 24th, so only got 1 gal. flushing next 2 weks then harvesting. hopefully i can get a good mother out of this next run, going to vegg 18, then take cuttings and put the cuttings into 12/12 to sex so i know my females and am able to keep the mom in vegg, wish i had done this forst, but didnt think about it.

It's all a learning curve, even for me. Next run will be tremendously better.
That TWOG x Labella sounds good even if it will lose some of the strawberry essence. On the other hand, the TWOG will greatly improve the potency. At least you have a variety of genetics to search thru now.

im thinking about harvesting the twog in the next few days, id rather the sedes that are already there not overrun the bud, i only see the one bud with a seed, but im pretty sure where theres one theres lots.. the cred still is filling out nicely, so very very frosty. been running clean h2o through the labella all day today, untill it ran clear after setting for a bit, then i chopped her, trimmed and hanging in closet right now, looks to be less than a 1/2 oz. very let down. but its a hal oz more than i had 2 months ago, so not totally let down, cant wait forthe twog and cred, definately eager to try the twog/cred. cause they each look uber nice alone, mixed must be better right?

cant wait till i get started on the next run, going to dso ALOT differently, and better. goinf to clone and sex before switching entire tent for one, no more pollination risk. no more "femionized" seeds. all i see when i read fem now is hermie.
