Growing without nutes...

I cant ever seem to get the search function to work, it always says no results. So my question is will I have a quality product at the end of my first grow if I dont use nutes? The reason im not planning on using them is because of all the horror stories ive read about burning them. So any advice....?

always introduce nuts 1/4 the strength of the recommended dosage on the package and gradually work up whats recommended or if you see that your not burning them.

The best advice I can give you is GO ORGANIC!!! Check out my journal! I mix my soil with organic nutes at the begining...and never fertilise through the grow...just water...seriously, thats THE BEST. I am flowering for three weeks, my mommas are 55 inches and never better!!!

You cant burn your plants this way and they will get what they need!!!

I am using miracle grow and yes many people hate it here but I mix it with Perlite and water. Nutes are already in the soil and if you look at my MG grow you can see that I am pretty good. I may try the organic way my second grow but MG is cheap and so far very easy.

organics are the way to go buddy. The end product is worth it with organics.

No hard feelings but I burned my plants with miracle grow so badly, they just stopped growing for like 6 weeks...I flushed and all....ahh will never trust it again.

Some people have had great results with it, but there is still about 80% of people here that had REALLY BAD experience...and thats why we hate it. Wouldnt recommend it to experienced grower and especially not to new grower.

If you get quality soil, you can go at least through veg without nutes, but your buds will definitely benefit from nutes in the flowering stage, although there are things you can use like molasses (not a substitute for good nutes) which are a little safer. I've got FF Ocean Forest, and plan on going through a month of veg without nutes. But like "mygirls" said, just use a low strength and work your way up.

yeah, i gotta say, organics is the way to go, forsure!! the finished product is sooo sweet and such a pleasure to smoke..i'm finishing my grow very soon, i only fed with a small amount of fox farm's tiger bloom, which is not fully organic, but finished with straight distilled water and molasses...i took a test nug and dryed it for a couple days, and it's already delicious!! whatever you do i'd use nutes, just in small proportions like stated before and you'll be fine and have some explosive growth. also, go to advanced search, then under keyword choose titles only, that should let you search, works for me...peace

i love the ocean, it's my fav soil, just mix in a good bit of perlite and i also put bout 2 inches of pure perlite on the bottom of the container for improved drainage.
