Growing With two 27 watt daylight cfls and two 20 watt soft white cfls on two plants

supplies i have include two 27 watt day lights cfls, two 20 watt soft lights cfls, Miracle grow seed starter, A Fan, PH Meter, Humidify, temp and hydro meter,




Growing With two 27 watt daylight cfls and two 20 watt soft white cfls on two plants, the plants i using these lights on are growing in miracle grow seed starter,

I planted them on march 4th, they are about a inch high today,

I was just wondering if this was enough lights for two plants, or should i only try one plant, this is my first grow. Please Help with advise

im growin 1 under 3 27watt cfls so yes its enough for 1 plant but i dont know about two

teeny tiny buds. u COULD get alot of them if trained right but will take forever to flower.


get a fan to blow on those CFLs cuz with such low light u need them to be touching the tops

6500k (or similar) is normally used for the vegetative cycle. 2700k (or similar) is normally used for flowering. Some people prefer to use a mixture of both lights for the entire life of the plant(s). You should try and have at minimum a 3000 lumen per square foot ratio. Lumen output varies by wattage and manufacturer. You will need to have the lights as close as possible without burning the plant(s).

I would assume that your 27 watt 5000k bulbs are putting out approximately 1700 lumens each(as I said before it will still vary depending on manufacturer, usually 1600-1800 lumens for that size bulb). So with appx. 3400 lumens(both bulbs) you will be just over the minimum light needed for a 1ftX1ft area. I would suggest using a reflective material(flat white paint, white plastic, mylar etc.) in the grow area to maximize the light given to the plant.
