Growing under the sun!!

I just gemenated and planted some seeds that i got from my budie's bag and set it out in the sun today. I used miracle grow soil and the shit says that it has 3 months of fertilzer in it, so im undecided on if to use more fertilizer to speed the vegetation stage up. I will post some pics week by week as my (hopefully girls) get bigger. anyone help me out with the fertilizer conflict?

If you had a young baby, would you force feed it far more than it can eat in the hope that it grows up quicker. I mean if you really went to town and gave it too much what would happen, food poisoning illness he could even die.

Your plants arent any different, feed them what they need not as much as you can.

Thanks for the advice man, I just didn't know how much a marijuana plant needed food but ill just hold out on the fertilizer for the three months! I got one more question homey, Ive attempted to grow outside for about a year but always either had plants die from laziness and storms and this time im gonna take care of it. How long does the vegetation stage usually take on some decent midi's?

vegetation on ANY plant will continue until it starts to receive less and less hours of light..

july 21st is when the days start getting shorter, so figure first week of august or so, you'll see sex... until then, a plethora of vegetation. mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

its not a good idea to use soil with fert already it in. you should start out with nutrual soil. plus the ferts might burn them lil babiez

I grow only with MG and Ive been burned plently of times by it bcuz of my lack of knowledge on how to use it properly.

FY666, If you can, replant those seedlings into rockwell cubes, jiffy cubes, or another soil mix that doesnt contain any nutes. When they are about 2 weeks old, transplant them into the miracle grow soil and water thoroughly...you should be good to go from there. The soil will feed the plants for about 2 months depending on how U water (too much water will flush the nutes, too little water will dehydrate the plants) I'd water every 4 days exactly to be safe

about the nutes - With the MG you'd be best off getting something that is high in Nitrogen for vegetative growing and something higher in Potassium and Phosphorus for flowering. MG makes a really good fertilizer for both vegging (24-8-16) and bloom (15-30-15) that you can either spray onto the plant, or feed thru the soil and it wont burn the plants if u use it according to directions... both are under $4 each and you get a huge box of it, you wont run out for 3 or 4 more grows!

In addition to any fertilizer I would strongly recommend molasses, simply bcuz it is a tried and true home remedy thats proven to encourage growth in both stages of growth.

i am using moisture control miracle grow soil, and i am giving it miracle grow plant food...i have pics of my first grow in my gallery...the plant is at 23 days and looking good...

All these tips are greatly appreciated and i decided to change my ways! I am going to transplant my little seedlings very carefully, to one small one inch pot for each of them. I think i am going to just use regular dirt soil from my back yard for the 2 weeks of the birth. I will then transplant into miracle grow soil with nutes and water every 3 to 4 days depending on heat. I will try to get some pics on this mofucka in about a week and show you my babies!!

Anyone have any more recommendations??

This year I'm using PlantSmart Premium Potting Mix (that's just what is here). Last year I purchased a bag of Miracle Grow potting soil and it was full of bugs. As soon as I had opened the bag swarms of bugs everywhere. I threw the bag outside and never used it and because of that experience I will never buy another bag of MG again.
I usually use whatever seems to be at a reasonable cost.
I have a balcony garden so all my plants are grown in containers.

thats what i am using, and the plants were already 20 days before i transplanted into that soil. so they won't get fucked up, they are doing really well, actually. but seedlings, yea... go with something neutral
