From what I found no it doesn't only bright artificial lights do. But apparently if you follow this guide http://www.treatingyourself.com/vbulletin/archive/index.php?t-2702.html the moon's lunar activity will actually help your plants if you plant/harvest at the right times.

Dam! That "topsy turvy" video is cool! I'm envisioning them high up in the canopy with a feed hose hanging down... then all you do is come along with a bucket of feed and a pump to deliver their nutrients.

*Week 3*(start)
The roots are beginning to grow more and more at the bottom so I'll give it a few more day's and decide whether or not to transplant them then. But something is eating the leaves, so I gotta get some Azamax sometime soon. Anyone every heard/tried of garlic powder boiled in water to deter bugs?

*Update*
So I decided it was time to transplant and from the look of the root's when I did they were ready. Just finished moving them into there new(permanent) pot's. Will post pic's Mañana.

*Update*
The transplant was successful!!! They're going to have ton's more space to grow, one is starting to grow the top cola (still not sure if male or female), but they smell SOO good, and I can't wait till they show they're sex's. Even if they're both males I'm going to let them grow to their potential then just make some hash with em'. (Vines are just for extra support until the bonding glue is completely dry[48 Hrs.])

Great news!!! One is definitely a female, and the other started off growing male ball's, but today I saw two white female hair's growing also so I'm pretty sure it's a hermie. Now before you say oh rip it out it's gonna infect the female, I know and am glad it went this way, because I only have two plant's that are for PERSONAL use so seed's in my bud will benefit me in the long run (more plant's), besides it's a FIRE strain so I don't mind AT ALL reproducing it.

I know but that doesn't matter to me cause although they'll have the genetics in them the seeds can still produce female's (which will also have the hermie genetics's) , but it's not like I'm going to sell it so who care's if you have to take out some seed's, it's gonna be broken down to smoke anyways.

With all due resepect, I hope that these plants are not to high up in a tree. Anything over 7ish feet is not gonna have that much of a chance of surviving or producing anything worth while.
It can be done, but you need to do a ton more securing to what you got. If its not the wind, it will be the wildlife.
I have seen great grows in a tree house with its roof cut off. Perhaps that is something feasible for ya.

Thanks, I've always liked the idea so I gave it a shot. So far so good, except the fact they flowered very early for outdoor plants (due to not enough sunlight), so if anyone is going to do this and want longer vegetation make sure you cut most of the branches blocking the sun. But honestly I like the fast flowering cause yea it's not gonna get very big, but I'll be smoking alot sooner, and can probably finish another grow (maybe 2) by the time I would have finished this one, it's kinda like indoors cause don't you start flowering 4th week???
i only veg for 3 weeks or so, you can still get some good bud with short vegs
a few others have done it with impressive results, others have struggled, you'll have earned whatever you get
