growing sloww!!!

hi, i have a question, i have a plant and it is 7 days old and olny has 2 sets of leaves. i looked at other peoples grows and there plant are like 5 times the size of mine when they are like 7-8 days. can anyone tell me why they grow so slow? or how i can speed up grow? thanks alot

Tell us more about your garden???

Typically slow growth is related to inadequate heat and humidity. Like riddleme said though we'd need to know a great deal more about your growing situation before any real advice can be sent your way.

What are some causes of slow plant growth?

so if my plants are having heat problems you think it might be because of that? should i put a fan or somthing? they have 2 cfls and a florecent light going at themm there are 2 plants in my box

all together its about 150 watts for now im going to upgrade it later

always give cuttings 7 days after transplant to root, then after the first week, youll start to see new growth.

what type of soil...how much have you watered...what are your temps and RH...

i havent transplanted them yet they are in a 1 gallon pot, but i will later on, also how can i trim the roots 7 days later? when they are in ground? im using miricale grow soil i water them every like4-5 days , and what is rh? the temp is like 90 in the box

temp is a little high. get a fan on that. and rh is room humidity. What kind of lights are you using, like watts for each and how close are they? Also maybe you accidentally touched the root when you planted it so it's stunted right now. just be careful with the miracle grow soil. it works but with the preadded nutes in the soil, it's a little tricky

one of the cfls is 75 watt the other is 60watt and the other is 15watt, they are about 5 inches away the ones higher than 50 watt are cfls the other is a floresent

so any thoughts?
