ventilation, air circulation, light, nutrients, medium are all components you have to understand to grow a successful harvest.

each of these components have little nuances that if understood, will result in increasesd quality as well as quantity of bud.

I have been doing relatively small lighting systems (250 hps and below) for years and have picked up a few things. For operations that have low light, pruing becomes much more important as the output or intensity of output decreases more over a chorter distance than on larger bulbs. thats why scrogs, sog, topping, etc. all comes in handy. I personally like to top and then lollipop my plants. with this method, i top when the plant is about 8 inches tall, veg for a week longer, then flower. over the next 2-3 weeks i just let the plants go and stretch. Once they reach the height where focus is on bud pruduction, i trim everything off the bottom foot or so of plant (Eerything means everyhting too, all fan leaves/bud starts go). You should have about 9inches to a foot sone at the top of the plant that has all the follliage and buds. Now you need to trim out fan leaves as you go to allow good air circulation and light penetration. with this you get about 6-8 good colas with dense buds in optimum light fields

high Air Circulation and venetilation is also key

GrowTech

stays relevant.
I respect Growtech's position.

Actually I get the impression that Growtec is boasting and advertising his trustworthiness, trying to plant a seed in more peoples minds that it's safe to invite him over and show your grow and share a smoke and secrets. Off that I am deducing you must be one of the people who goes to peoples grows and does video's and books like ***********, (name edited) that's why it's so important to you, right? Is that you?

I wish I'd thought about doing that earlier on before so many others. I'd have been good at it too. I think I missed my calling.

Damn now I'm depressed that I'm not Growtech/the guy I think you are (edited out the name in case it's a secret)

Envious.:weed:

Anyway there are many secrets. Tips to gain an egde on the competition. That's just how it is because it's not all free and legal and you're talking about peoples livelyhood.
LOL... nah, I really don't need to plant a seed- seriously, who likes it when they trust someone with a secret, and then that clown goes and runs their mouth about it? Like I said, blabber mouths ruin all sorts of surprises and hurt a lot of people, because if it was meant to be public knowledge, people wouldnt say 'keep quiet about this'

Honestly... the last thing I would feel comfortable with is being in someone elses op... I don't invite people into mine, and I think for the sake of safety, and everyone to feel free of anxiety, or worry- it's best that people don't invite others into their ops. Sometimes there is such a thing as "knowing too much"

As far as books and videos go... I am not creative enough to even make a documentary about growing, etc... A book perhaps... if you can find a publisher willing to take a risk on it, but even then, they are sent to PDF and pirated by people all over the net- so we'll see.

.....and still u joined a forum that helps people grow pot?

I honestly could care less ....what one of you DO or DO NOT tell me i can find on numerouse sites and grow books.

thanks anyway

OPZ:leaf:
I'm not discrediting this forum, but nothing here has improved my grow op substantially... Fucts herb dryer made keeping up with a perpetual cycle a little bit easier. Like I said, I was growing before this site came to be... and I'm not here looking for information, I'm here to help out some newbies, and keep in touch with certain people. Damn me to hell right? Like I'm supposed to be your little bitch slave boy butler?

Jesus people, get a clue, he helps people every god damn day on here, often patiently answering the same stupid shit a million times like he said. Give him a break, he has to keep secrets but none of it is anything you need to know anyway. Watch every video out there, read everything you can get your hands on or on your screen. Hop on TPB or similar and pirate your ass off watching video's from other countries, read everything on more advanced forums like Icmag too. Learn and learn and learn some more and then maybe you're ready for extra's.

Actually PAY to be a member here (those that have money)

You're not worthy! You're not ready!

LOL that's the funny part... So many people willing to burn bridges for information they think I'm holding back... Honestly, this is the fourth time I Said it... Nothing I know will prevent you from having an absolutely incredible harvest... and I've always been willing to help people get to harvest... Whatever... Go figure I would be chastised by a group of pot heads for being true to my character and supporting the side of "a secret is a secret because SOMEONE ELSE said so, keep it a secret because it's not your job to talk about it."

either way... if y'all have loose morals and tell other peoples secrets, good job- just don't expect anyone to confide in you (which honestly seems like a good thing, because if you know something someone else doesn't it appears to drive them mad).

We've all been growing killer plants prior to this thread, and we'll all keep growing them after... Nothing I know is going to make you king of marijuana land.

Because we conclude in our singleness of mind what we learn first hand unique we call it a secret.
If it's truly cutting edge advancement, be assured it's being invented on the other side of the world.
I'm new to growing but the principle of sharing knowledge stur's the pot of knowledge, a missing key that was found by sharing there personal knowledge.

I felt a bit dirty after reading this thread but I never could walk through a forest without brushing up against some prickly obstacles and still benefit from the journey.

Goodness people. Stop arguing with each other. If you don't have anything nice
don't say anything at all. I have never once said anything out of line on this
site to anyone. Do the same, and everytime you open a thread you won't find
people arguing.

All the poster asked was for some of you experienced growers to help people
out who are just starting. I'm sure he didn't mean secrets, but probably meant
tips that would help others, such as mistakes you made as a noob when you first
started.

But I can also understand how so many noobs come on this site and basically
ask "how to grow marijuana". I can see how that can be frustrating to those who answer the same questions over and over just because a noob doesn't want to read the GrowFAQ.

I'm a noob myself and have only had one real attempt
at growing. And I can offer a tip, keep your weed away from damn Huskies. They
eat anything they see you working on in the backyard. There, a tip. lol.

And oh, I joined this site before I tried my hand at growing again in the future, not
to see people arguing in threads on every other page.

and oh, another thing. I try not to ask any questions on here unless I'm very confused
about something I don't understand. otherwise, I read about what I want to know.
I read the GrowFAQ before even posting anything anywhere on this site.
+rep to me. lol.

G'day to you all.

Please, no more arguing.

Haha I'd like to see that... boing boing boing (not just some model though, real women.)

I have a secret... I didn't wear gloves recently when working with potting soil and got a fungal infection that has gone systemic. Ringworm... Ew It spread all over me, I itch like a madman and had to go to the doc and get antifungal pills and those are not cool. Just don't do it.

So wear gloves... Always...

Actually I thought growtec might have been seemorebuds but didn't want that public knowledge for whatever reason. Anyway I wish I had been the urban grower or seemorebuds or similar. Now there's too many of them to bother.

I do set up small medical grow ops for patients in this area though, and that's fun and of course requires keeping your trap shut about a lot of things even if it is sorta legal. Some people just can't get around well enough to even set up a grow but they can maintain it.

i guess the only good advice i personally can give from my super limited experience is, every once in a while you should (well least in my case cuz i have grow bags) take your grow bag, and roll it around in your hands, loosening up the soil. churning up the soil sort of allows any unused natural nutrients that are in the soil stuck in some "pocket" that hasnt been rooted yet, it allows those nutrients to be used. Also helps to oxygenate the soil a little bit by moving it around. i do this once a week, maybe less.

Also, learn to leave your plants alone. A raped plant isnt a happy plant. If you can help it, just check on them in the morning, and then let them do their thing. If your growing in a seperate room than the one your living in on a daily basis, always have some good mellow music playing in the growroom. its a scientific fact that plants respond well to music, its all about finding the right type for your plants ;) - i keep Bob Marley's Kaya on repeat most of the time, but i also play alot of the Dead in there, n ive been known to play a smidge of Foghat n Journey whenever im in the mood too :D - a Happy grower = a Happy grow. plants can sense anger and frustration. Just remember that there is a connection between cannabis plants and human beings, there always has been since the beginning of time.

sorry for bustin in to this little squabble, but actually contributing to the thread n maybe answering the initial poster's question would maybe stop the bickering. If not, sall good, just hope i helped anyways ;)

lol. sorry, but thats only for the hubby to see.:o

omg, ringworm sucks. I've never had it, but my sister
did, and I was scared to touch her. lol. I kinda felt bad,
but then again I was like eh, I don't wanna get infected.
