Growing Outdoors.

Hey all, been lurking about on these forums for quite some time.
Going to start growing for the first time, and have a question about growing outdoors.

I couldn't find the answer to the question I'm asking, but apologies if I missed it.

With regard to growing outdoors, is a greenhouse a must?

Welcome to RIU!
No of course not, if you use a greenhouse it means you can start your plants outdoors earlier because you dont have to worry so much about frost and cold weather fluctuations. You should however start your seedling or clones indoors to germinate and grow for at least 2-3 weeks before you put them outside so they have a solid root structure and solid stem.

No but there is alot more work involved in a outdoor op than indoors.First you have to find a site that has plenty of all day sun if possible. Then you have to prep the soil this normaly involves bringing the ph down with dolamite lime. But for the past two summers i have been bagging the holes that i have dug.I dig a hole a couple of ft deep by about a ft wide then use a plastic bag inside the hole.Mke sure that you put plenty of holes in the bottom big enougth for the roots to get out of but not that big that you will lose all your nutrients in the soil below.I have found Bio bizz all mix the best for this because very little has to be given to the plant's for at least 2/3 weeks. It contains enouth feed to last that period of time. You are best to put a copper tube around the bottom of the plant's this will stop slug's from eating the plants and belive me there your biggest threat to start.I always cage the plant with some kind of netting green to match the back drop this will stop rabbit's and deer from getting at them. After the 2 nd week visit once a week at night if possible to feed the plants some extra nutes.Or you can just add a solid feed like sea weed or bat gwarno horse shyt is always good too.But i like to use liquid feed's i carry them to the plant's in a ruck sack once a week feed them then go never hang around.A minute extra spent at a outdoor grow could cost you the whole crop.Plant near water if you don't want to be carrying water in and out but i have found this to be harder than you think.Alot of folk like to fish normaly place's no one else has been to.So carry the water in.Put proabition into you tube and watch the brown dirt warrrior clip's full of great ideas.Plant the plant's so the back of them has greenage to it.Plant randomly with no order or this can be spotted from above.Always make sure that you enter from a new way from week to week or you will leave trace's.If you are planting near any home's try to hide your face in some way because if the police find a grow they will leave cameras sometimes.Outdoor growing is the most underated part of cannabis cultivation i have had crop's with has much has 2 lb on 2 year ago arjons ultra haze~1.but been in the uk i going for a strain like a.m.s great plant realy resuliant to moisture.I will post picture's when they go out in another month or so right through till the end.Good luck keep green and be safe peace tyke.

Thanks so much for the info. Yes well I will start to grow indoors, but I need them to be moved outside. I cant do this in my garden, but I know off a few places where I'll be able to grow away from peoples knowledge ;)
Ill just place them near like nettles or something, and use a strain which dosn't grow so tall, not sure which tho, any suggestions?

Pretty iffy about outdoors, but i believe if im careful and don't tell a soul about it, I should be fine.
