Growing outdoors in Texas

I originally started with an indoor grow, but recently some problems arose so I'm going to have to take it outside. I don't want it near the ground, so I plan to put it on the roof, next to a tree so it can be hidden yet still get light. I was doing LST originally but don't know if I should continue. What are your opinions?

On the roof? So everyone in your neighborhood and helicopters can see it? Not a good idea bro =/

Well like I said it will be by a tree so it will be hidden but not hidden enough to block out sunlight

i use to do just that exactly. when i was in middle school i use to grow plants on my roof right next to a tree that hung over my house, i would tie the plant down to control the height.
