Growing on a rental property

Hi all, i am new to the forums and would just like to greet myself. I Need some advice on a problem i am currently dealing with and would like to ask for advice to address the issue. To start, i have a red card and have always wanted to grow. My friends, girlfriend, and i want to move out into a house in which we can grow in. My friends and i have our med cards and my girlfriend is 21+. This was for personal use, as well as accepting "donations" for marijuana, seeing as how that is now acceptable in Colorado. The problem is that is states the landlord can prohibit the use of marijuana/growing on his/her property. Unless nothing is stated on the lease, in which i can grow all i want. The question is, does anyone know of any places in Lakewood Colorado, and or Denver area in which i could rent a house and grow? any input would be greatly appreciated.

It's illegal to accept money for pot. Don't fool yourself into thinking that donation crap will hold up in court. You will have to talk to your landlord about it. I wouldn't just go set up shop unless you were sure it was ok. Remeber we have a responsibility to abide by the law and show the country we made the right choice in legalizing rmj.

So you are openly admitting to grow for the purposes of reselling on a publically recorded forum most likely watched by the LEO? This was for personal use? Well WTF is it for now if not for personal, oh yeah $$$$? :wall:

Take your garbage illegal growing ideas and move to Cali, don't ruin it for everybody else here.

http://www.denverpost.com/ci_22611792/marijuana-donation-swaps-test-limits-colorado-law. I wasn't trying to offend anyone, and theirs no reason to be mean. As you can understand why someone would get confused about the laws and what-not. Hence the Denver post article above. Is it legal tosell to medical marijuana dispensary of you're excess meds? But once again the question remains, Does anyone know a real estate agency who allows marijuana growing under their lease? If not a Landlord within the Denver area?

Yeah i know, i wish i just owned my house but i definitely don't have enough money for that lol. And of course i would do it secretly but i'm not trying to do anything illegal here. I just want to grow my meds in peace of mind.. but i guess finding a landlord who's gonna let me do that is gonna be a needle in a haystack.

I think you are looking for a needle in a haystack. If I were you I'd focus on finding a place you want to live in and then talk to the landlord about it. Some will explicitly state in their ads that they don't allow growing. Obviously those are a no-go. Others will have a clause in the lease forbidding growing. That is a standard part of the Boulder Model Lease, which is used by a lot of Front Range landlords. The language is there for protection from asset seizure laws, but the landlord may be OK with having a small grow in the house. As you've seen, mention of "donations" will bring on a negative reaction.

Assuming your intentions are pure, I wish you luck.

I understand from a landlords perspective that they don't want a bunch of people growing only because of the federal government seizing property. I was thinking about maybe just pitching on a mobile home because their only like 20k haha. And if i owned it i could grow to my hearts desire without worry of the law =]. Only problem would be electricity haha, but i'm sure i could work that out.

This dude is not even 21, most likely has no job/money, is clueless about the law, and thinks he's going to find someone that is dumb enough to rent to him and a shitload of his friends to grow weed. Its people like this that is going to give the dispensaries and law enforcement the fuel to try to get home grows banned.
