Growing multiple plants in same soil???

So as you can see here in this picture I am using a bathroom as a grow room:

Ok now right now they are all in party cups, they have maxed them completely and really need to move onto something bigger. However I have not weeded the males outta the bunch yet. I just started the 12/12 cycle this past sunday due to a faulty timer.

So my question is that I am thinking about filling the entire tub with soil, put down a tarp or something first with some small drain holes and then fill with soil. Now I know this would not be a problem if I knew they was all females I could care less about entangled roots and their roots would have a ton of room for some monster plants with that much soil.

However where Im seeing the problem is that once I start finding the males and cutting them out I will not be able to remove their roots. Would I get much of a problem from the roots dieing or decaying in the soil or would it not effect it that much. (plants outside all share root space and die all the time)

...or should I just try and leave them in the party cups for now and wait until they show sex?

if your going to grow plants sharing soil, you need to start them from seed that way, or else they will choke eachother out....
why dont you get some 6" round pots, or 2 gal terra cotta planters and just keeep them in the tub? with the removed males, you should have plenty of space. ... im thinking just dumping soil in a tub is asking for all kinds of problems with drainage and aeration

Sounds good but i wouldnt do that cause u gotta figure what if you mix some fretz that off and u notice some burn....see where im going with this. Or what if there are males and u cut them then the roots might fuck something up im not too sure tho... and then again they will be fighting for food ... or what if u wanna transplant ...u have to take alot of shit into consederation and it looks like its going really well y fuck up a good thing just get bigger pots homie.

True, I will just either go to slightly bigger pots until I weed out the males, or wait till my females show then transplant them to bigger pots, add another 400w hps and let the games begin! lol

How old are they? If they are 4 weeks or more, I bet they are starting to show their sex already. Mine always did, at about 4 weeks.

Also, even though it won't be optimum, they should grow okay in the tub as long as you load it up with soil, and don't grow them too big. You should be able to squeeze 10 in there, although 4-8 would be even better. :)
