Growing monsters

Well done, @xtsho !
Just because they can bite you doesn't mean they don't like you or love you.
It's certainly a lot more difficult with the background you tell me about.
I wish you all the best

Pd: what is your last post' plant? She looks interesting....
That plant is an ACE Oldtimers Haze. It went 20+ weeks before I chopped it. It could have gone longer though. Good stuff.

Looking at adopting a pair of bad actor Chihuahuas. I have to take both as their bonded. I brutalize myself when I don't have to. I saw pictures and they're really cute. I know they're monsters that I'll be the one taking care of. We're getting them anyway. I'll just have to start wearing gloves.

we took in an injured stray cat a couple of years ago and it was like living with a bobcat....crazy f*cker but I loved him anyway. He was old and feisty.

I'm good with dogs but these are hard to work with animals. These ones are old rescue dogs from shelters that have been abused and neglected all their lives. These dogs would have been euthanized if I didn't save them. They bite me sometimes. I've made a bunch of progress with them though. They'll never be normal after what they've been through. I'm just going to give them the best life they can have. They don't have to like me. I'm just glad that I can save a few from despair.

:peace:
That is awesome of you.
I have 2 rescues, the youngest was a stray and has many actual scars. She was only 6 months when we got here. Super loving pup, but untrainable and very distrustful of anyone outside of the house.
Her brother was from a shady breeder that had all the pups taken away. Great dog, but his sister is tough on him

Many cat owners are trying to convince themselves of that. Lol
Let me explain with an example (talkin bout dogs, I dont kwnows anyhing bout cats):
If you adopt a child who has spent years in a horrible orphanage (perhaps even with mistreatment from peers or even caretakers) and give him a home and some love, the kid will adore you. But that doesn't mean you can erase all his acquired responses when he "loses control" with the stroke of a pen. When emotion overwhelms cognition, it is difficult to control yourself, with those past life experiences and thousands of times you responded to conflict with violence.
And it's not about "training": obedience is just a tool to achieve an end, and by itself is nothing more than "circus tricks". Emotions do not disappear with obedience alone (but it helps), and a dog that has just executed a perfect sit on your command may immediately bite you if you try to move away from it (for example, in a case of a genetically dominant dog with separation anxiety).

I would like to advise all of you who have problems or are just thinking about training your dog, to find out about Cognitive-Emotional Training (aka Cog-Emo; suitable for all types of dogs, from guide dogs for the blind, to defense/attack dogs).

Excuse me for asking: do the beautiful symbols in the center of the fence mean something? They look very familiar to me, but I can't quite put my finger on it now...
Thanx.
looks like the AUM symbol to me.
"The “AUM” symbol (or OM – the symbol in the center) symbolizes the Universe and the ultimate reality. It is the most important Hindu symbols. At the dawn of creation, from emptiness first emerged a syllable consisting of three letters – A-U-M (often written as OM).

I’m shooting for monsters this year. My outdoor will be going outside next weekend. You can see how big they already are. At this time last season, my outdoor were a small seedlings. This year I went for clones from my pheno hunts. Most the girls bottom stem is thicker then a roll of quarters, no exaggeration. (First picture, Zoom up on from right girl) Currently getting 17 hours of daylight and will get a week of 16 hours.View attachment 4902480View attachment 4902482View attachment 4902484View attachment 4902485
