A little Information.
Abscisic Acid (ABA)
Hormone, helps with plant stress, drought, cold temps.
Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C)
Thought to build tighter, heavier buds, and act as an anti-oxidant
Salicylic Acid (Aspirin)
Willow bath blocks (ABA) use as a spray, soak, rooting bath.
Auxins
Responsible for elongation, pinching off will reduce Auxin levels.
Folic Acid B-9
Inhibits gibberellic Acid, Bush, Dwarf with out pruning. Apply as a spray or soil drench.
Isopentyl Adenine (IPA)
Manufactured as Benzylaminopurine (BAP)
Rush Foliar, XCell Veg, XCell Bloom
Sugar Molasses
Said to be the "Secret Ingredient" in many organic fertilizers. Adding the last 6 weeks is said to give a 20% increase in yield.
Trichoderma (002/003)
Fungi that live in soil. Help promote stronger, vibrant plants.
Canna Trichoderma is an example.
Colchine
Causes a Polyploidy condition in Cannabis plants. May show increased canabinoid content. Triploid, Tctraploid, Tetraploid.
-----------FOLIAR---------------
Stomata-Close
To much Co2
Low Humidity
Dry Root System
Stomata-Open
High Light
Low Co2
High Humidity
When to Foliar Feed
Around 20 minutes after the light have come on. The plants Stomata should be open.
Wetting Agents - Surfactants (Adjuvant)
They break the surface tension of the water/Foliar solution.
Wetting agent (Spreaders) Non-Ionic used the most
Earth Juice Assist- Natural wetting agent
Antionic- Not used much
Cationic- Not used much
Extenders (Stabilizing agents)
Biodegradable Surfactants- disperse the fastest.
Silicone Surfactants- Are also mild insecticides.
------Plant Problems--------
Mobile Elements- Affect older leaves to new growth.
Nitrogen- Macro/Mobile Element
Deficient- Lower to middle plant working up.
Green top/Yellow bottom
Extreme Case/Purple leaves with Yellowing starting at tips working back.
Nitrogen Toxicity-
Dark Green Leaves, Delayed maturity, Tall plants, weak stems, lively new growth, high transpiration rate.
Phosphorus Macro/Mobile Element
Deficient- Reduces size, slows growth in leaves that may or may not fall off.
Edges of leaf brownish, cause edges to curl up-ward, dark green, purple, yellow tones with blue color to them, Stems sometimes red, red petiole.
50-F hard to absorb (P)
Toxicity-
Locked out pH, Cold wet soil, Acid/Alkaline soils, compact soils.
