Growing in peat, which one?

Which peat can i grow straight in? Irish, hoffmans or somthing else?

i done black magic and some off the wall brand from lowes and homedepot . did not mix any thing in to it at all . i thought peat moss was peat moss . they have fine or coarse done both . i had it laying around somebody gave to me . used it to get rid of it . wish i could of been more help kinggrow .

Caution depending on your grow method

peat holds a lot of water ..like sponge

hence it holds nute too

this can easy thro your Ph out

leading to the nute burn recovery position

ps if you must go the chunky but a perlite added is good

I thought peat was just used for its water retention. Why would you want to grow in peat alone?
