Has anyone ever seen the crud that comes out of gutters when they haven't been cleaned for years? It's almost like oil. It's dark dark black mud/dirt/decomposing leaves.

I buckets and buckets of this crap from my grandfathers gutters and couldn't help but ask myself if it wouldn't make fantastic soil. What do you think?

gutter mud sometimes has to much PH it isnt really soil infact whats at the bottom of the gutter is 35% car oil or any other petro chemicals inclueding gasoline resin. it contains a little garnish of poo if it is conected to the city or home back flush and also contains rotten debree such as leaves and soaps. u should probubly just buy some potting soil and add some difrent things if you want perfect soil like pete moss and perlite
Not positive but I think he meant gutter as in house gutter not street gutter ...
