Growing in Floral Foam

Has anyone had any success germinating or completely growing in floral foam? I have found plans for a footlocker grow box that uses floral foam as the grow media, but so far i have not been able to get any seeds to sprout. I am wondering if it is the seeds or something i am doing.

Sucks that nobody answered you for 11 years. I don't know and came here asking the same question... Can i grow a plant from start to finish in floral foam? Big momma cubes expensive and take forever to pH.

Apparently we can but it has to be agricultural grade as the non agricultural stuff has preservatives in it that will prevent growth and development.
