Probably not, but you should still have some kind of odor eliminating strategy. It could be as simple as setting up a small bucket of Fabreze near your grow space, though not actually inside of it.

fart like towards the wall, and if your neighbours don't notice it and don't yell out in disgust you know that they won't be able to smell your babies.

Alot of apartment buildings share ventilation between units. Be careful. Ours is growing in the spare bedroom, and with the door open you gotta be within 5' of the door before you can smell it. But some strains smell more than others, or so I'm told.

Odor isn't #1 over lights, nutes, ventilation, and such, but it is important. I've done many closet grows and usually find carbon filters and ozone generators overkill for just a few little girls. Just understand that if you can smell them outside your room, than the neighbors might be able to as well. The small bucket of Fabreze and incense are a good idea, but keep them out of the room. Good luck ;) -m420

When you are growing in an apartment odor control is number one over everything else. Better to have all your plants die than have all your neighbors know what's up and end up in trouble. Not only would you get in trouble with the law you'd end up evicted with nowhere to live.

thank you oregon meds! you can have all the proper equipment to grow but that doesn't mean shit if you can't contain the odor. spend a couple hundred bucks on odor control and remain a free man or woman!
what's with the tag, "I am a Jewish Nihilist"? that cracks me up!

It totally depends on the plant. I have grown plants that barely smell at all and then I had one plant that was 14" tall that would smell up a house that was 1500sf .... get some kind of oder control before you start the grow. Better to be safe then sorry!

Without a good "contingency plan", if the cops get involved, he won't have to worry about getting a place to live for a while.
