Growing in a Tree

I've been thinking about tie wrapping a wodden platform to the trunks of a tree and growing my weed on the platform maybe 4 or 5 plants. I am growing on the ground outdoor but if that doesn't go to well at least i've got 2nd resort in a tree but hopefully i'll pull both off. I'm thinking about doing this in the woodlands where nobody goes and it gets plenty of sun. To make the plants secure i'll tie wrap the pot to the platform before i top it up with soil.

how high would you put it?
6ft would be enough wouldnt it?

I think it should be around 10 ft high in the tree maybe higher but all depends if it's noticable or not. I don't wat to be climbing to high incase i fall and the strains i'm going for is durban poison and red dragon. I will do a journal of this and i'll post the link on this thread. to disguise it i think i'll put branches blocking the view of the pots and platform and all being well the plants will blend in with the tree.

i had the same idea only im going to climb 3/4 of the way up the tree to build a sandbox design platform with drainage holes and 1ft of soil. much of the tree has to be pruned above the platform. a battery operated pump gets the water up there. if it turns out ile post pics

Burlap for the pots or platform or realtree camo cloth. The higher you go is safer for grow but worse for you if you fall...

can't beat the sunshine off with a stick in a tree grow that's for sure
the only advice i have is to at least camouflage your pots

for me it's 10 times the work for (at best) the same kind of yields

....birds eat sprouts, shit everywhere, and make nests, bugs are rampant, winds fierce, hail devastating, and if you weren't clever enough to set up a hoist system of some kind to water and check on the plants, the worst situation of all.....you're stuck in a fucking tree...

you know how easy it is to catch someone sitting in a tree?
it's not like an average grow where you can just run for it....jump to your certain doom/broken limbs or embarrassingly and slowly back down the trunk into the arms of the law is your only options

The only way i would see this being a good idea since your sacraficing allot by growing in a tree. is to grow a decient amount. your gonna have to be clever like Chubby soap said, and i would put a large container filled with water (in the tree) supplying the plants with water (rain catcher stlye). and obviosly camo pots and make sure the tree is worth it as far as sunlight goes. if you cant climb trees good then consider falling in the middle of no where and breaking a leg.. sounds like a shitty situation.
