Growing in a top floor flat

Ok guys

Whats the best way to get rid of the heat when growing in a top
floor flat?...

At the moment im just using 1 x 600w and T5's for veg

I currently vent out the window with the exhaust pointing upwards
and sitting near the bottom of the window at my bed with the window
open and sometimes half cracked (on the latch)

This keeps my temperatures nice and at 24C

Whats your advice on this, ive heard that i could vent into attic
space as well but is this not riskier?

People sometimes have access to the loft, it is rare but it
sometimes there are workers up there etc.

Should i just move property and get somewhere with a chimney and
vent into that?

I want to build a sealed and insulated room but i understand that
heat will still need to be dispersed somehow - i was toying with
the idea of using a mini split a/c and a dehumidifier and 4 x 600w
air cooled lights in my sealed room. Obviously if i air cool the
lights i still need to exhaust it somewhere, and do you know if the
condenser outside for the mini- split would put out a lot of heat -
thank you.

You have asked so many questions all at once.....

1. Can you give us a few more details to your space, layout etc. so suggestions can be made.
2. Venting into the room with the windows open, is that not enough? Great for winter warmth.
3. If you did vent into the attic I am sure you could do it in such a manner that nobody standing up there would see it. But you might have light and noise issues to hide.
4. Would you really move to a new place just for a chimney?
5. Heat from the AC would be applicable to size, the heat from the hoods would still need to go somewhere, your room?
6. Have you considered 2400W in use in your home, I know they don't exactly check but be sure about that.

thanks for the response newworld.... on point number 2 - i hear ya it does seem to be working but im just conscious of a FLIR trail, if i crack the window so it is a quarter open it mixes the hot air with the cold outside air but after 11hrs or so of HID lighting it can get a bit warm in the bedroom

On point number 4 i have looked at propertys with chimneys for that reason

I guess its all just about finding a perfect place to grow - i can only imagine how much heat 4 x 600w would put out

Reagrding layout i have a 1 bedroom appartment - i heard that under 2000w and you should be ok?

If you leave the window wide open the cold air draws in and disperses the heat enough that no FLIR will ever see it, from what I have seen on these clips of them searching, they are scanning vaguely albeit a trained eye for bigger glares generally, your window is better open then closed in my opinion. Day time lights on, windows open and stay under the radar.

You used celcius so I am pretty sure you are not American. :)

That being said, you mentioned other people have access to your loft. Not knowing your laws where you live, but are you concerned about security at all? If anyone besides me had access or knowledge of my grow I would be in constant pucker-factor mode.

Good deductions, in the country of residence it is common place to find a once 4 bedroom home subdivided into as many as 4 flats, two seperate top floor addresses that in essence share the same roof and attic space I presume.
