I'm growing in a tent and when I shut the door of the tent the humidity goes up to 80% and when I open it it goes down to low 50s also temp goes up to 80s but when door is open it's in low 70s I feel like I should just leave door open the smell doesn't matter to me just the health of the plants any advice would be awesome this is my first grow so I'm learning

Open another intake or leave door open, I used to have passive intake so the smell was always covered anyway, door being open will only be an issue when you are flowering anyway

.

Dustin what kind (size. brand) of exhaust fan are you using?

Is the air being exhausted to another room or to the room your tent is in?

I have won 18" fan blowing directly on them and then 18" fan blowing above them and I just keep my closet door open to my closet and a growing 10 it's been doing good so far but I just want to know about leaving the door open the whole time

Humidity go up what are you using to recirculate the air? 80% and goes down when you open the door sounds like you don’t have enough air going in and out of the tent duck fan solve my issues

The humidity and temp will go up without a proper extraction system to vent the heat and humid air out the room
Right now it sounds like you are relying on passive air exchange which stops when you close the tent.

What they said:

You need to exhaust air out of the tent - usually on top since hot air rises.
Opening a vent on the tent will provide passive intake.
Circulating fresh air will help lower rh as well as help regulate temp.

Be aware that in & out vent as well as leaving the door open can introduce light leaks during the dark cycle.
