Growing in a plastic cup?

Has anyone did this? If so, does it work? I was thinking about starting my plant off in a small plastic cup, until is sprouts till about 1-2 inchs or more. But then after that, what should I transfer it into?

BTW, I'm growing them outside, but not actually in the ground.

yeah it works until the plants get too big for the cup, their easy to transplant too, if things are being difficult you can just rip it apart with the insides intact. what strain are you growing? if your going to continue to grow them outside you should get pretty big pots i would assume, or huge grow bags.

yeah you can do that...you can transplant it to a 1 gallon pot, or go straight to a 5 gallon, or anywhere in berween it depends on how many times you want to transplant.

Ok. I'll try that. How much should I water it until it sprouts? And how much sunlight?

Well you should have germinated it before planting it, but its ok. Just keep the soil moist, but not soaked.

The more direct sunlight the better. If you can get it in a spot where it gets direct sunlight all day, then you will have a pretty solid grow.

As for can you grow in a 16oz cup... umm does this answer your question

By the way those arent my plants. They were taken from a contest held at another website to see who could grow the best plants from start to finish in only 16oz cups.

I wouldnt do it though if I were you lol, just transplant it into a 5 gallon bucket after a 3-4 weeks.
