i really watn a tank full of cow fish but i know i would probably kill them and then i would be sad. i love love love salt water fish, they are so unbelievably beautiful. i love that people here know about this stuff. very cool!!

i like that guy a lot. i could watch him all day. :)

can i get a small tank and just have one or 2 of these?

dont start with anything smaller than a 50, your fish will get stressed and the best thing about setting up a reef tank is having space to put coral and watch them grow and try to make the most unique underwater scene, amazing when set up correctly.
Thanks for the tip!

I have a friend that's willing to sell me his 55 gallon tank with filter, light, and stand for under $100. I might just get that, then. :) I just happen to have a spare 5 gallon and spare 10 gallon that I'm not using at the moment and wanted to do something with them.

We also picked up a 110 gallon for $40, but the bottom is cracked. We're planning on setting that up for our Savannah Monitor here soon. That should be good for about 6 months. LoL So if anyone knows how to repair a tank that's cracked let me know. I'm thinking I'll have to replace the whole bottom piece if I want to use it for fish later. Which sucks because it's half-inch glass. LoL

Silicone might be able to fix it. depends on the size.and it just might need to be replced, think about how much water is in a 110 gallon,
I would guess 1000+ pounds. and with a crack and all that weight. no bueno.

idk where I should post this so I think here will be fine..

Ive been thinking about growing Coral..
And was wondering if anyone else has tried this or is currently doing so.

If so. what would a beginner need to get started in this journey?
I know I dont have any supplies for it right now.
I would like to know everything that is needed. but I dont wanna do anything super advanced.

It seems very exciting to see it grow.

And im always up too learn something new (::weed:

THIS IS A VERY EXPENSIVE HOBBY.

Will cost you $400+ just to get a nice setup.

This is my tank. There is a lot to learn before you go and buy some corals.
I am a member of a Salt Water Aquarium forum as well. Id sugest you look for one and learn from there
