Growing concern

Im just wondering is the side branches suppose to grow stright up like that I thought they would grow outwards not up im not a expert tho so I'm asking lol

one more question does my light srem light it too close to my plant

It looks pretty normal. Some strains grow side branches upwards until later in veg. then they tend to flatten out more. I'd put that light maybe 16-18 inches above the top on full blast..
