Growing Auto's light schedule

Hello all!. Newbie here with a first time grow. I've been reading and researching everything I could find on autos and I find my self a little confused. What is the correct lighting schedule? Some places say there is no lighting schedule. That it just needs light and lots of it. Others places say you 18/6 and just know it will flower when its ready. I saw one thread say just keep the light on all the time. This is my first grow and I don't want to totally screw up the first time and kill every thing with an improper amount of light.

Here is what I'm working with right now. My seeds are northern light's auto's fem. Its an indoor grown. I have a 600w HPS light. 5gal pots using an organic soil mixed with about 20% perlite. I haven't started yet but I've got a pH tester ready for the water and some fox farm grow big and big bloom for when the time come.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

sir

do not use the fox farms stuff..............it is a chemical based feeding system and since u are in organic soil it has little micbros in it that helps the plant off that stuff feeding to it will kill them off .............u will have PH issuses and salt will build up in the soil so flushing it 2 times a grow will be something u have to do

look into getting this kit go box ..........it is all organic and will give u a great product at the end ...........even has a feeding plan on the side for u to fallow ...........along with that u will need to order 1 ml pipettes this will help u mix it up in the water and controll the feedings ..............this system is a full product line and the best part u do not PH balance the water just feed it to the organic soil and the micbros do the rest of the work

as for the light use the MH bulb on them untill they are about to flower ( u will thank me more branching and bud sites ) the timing is 20/4.............gets u the best outcome

big bloom is fine for organic. i wouldnt get this go box either. you should just topdress with the same organic soil but without the perlite. assuming your mix is sufficient that is. 20 hours is perfect for light. anybody know how bad ill suffer going from 20/4 to 12/12 for like 2 weeks? im thinking about going back to 20/4 but afraid of maybe herming? lol anyone done this before, go from 20/4 to 12/12 back to 20/4?
