You can but why? Don’t use a CFL. They are worthless. CMH 315 or if you have the money a high grade LED. If your looking to have something taking less watts.
Hope the Best. Much
I’m convinced LED is the future and I’m convinced that until the price comes down that DIY is the way to go. I’m looking into COB versus QB. I live 50 miles from Fairbanks AK and everything is sky high here including electricity. I used to build custom electric guitars and have wired a few Class A tube amps. I think I can build a killer LED pretty reasonably.

You would be better off with 10x 23 or 26 watt cfl bulbs rather than 1 big one. Cfls need to be no further than 2-3 inches from plant as the have weak intensity. 1 big bulb can't hit the whole plant where a bunch of smaller ones spread around the plant and close to the buds will. Good luck.

Honestly I’m going to Alibaba. I’ve bought a lot of stuff over the years off there. The only problem is you have to buy a quantity usually. A lot of dealers will sell you as few as 5 and call it good. They have a light version of Ali now too. That’s where it all comes from anyway. Or most of it. Samsung is South Korean.
