Last time I lived in california I did not own a firearm...but this time around I own a handgun and an ar-15 and will be moving back soon. Aside from the obvious things I have to do to make my firearms legal to own in california....any laws that would make it a bad idea to own firearms if I grow mmj? They would obviously be locked in a gun safe...not in common space of the house. I just like having some kind of home protection and I've been enjoying time at the range lately.

Keep them in a locked safe and you should be fine. Also consider building a secret safe. I've seen ones in the yard with grass growing on top of a board that was laid over a hole. You could literally never tell it was there. He's a crazy sob waiting for a revolution though lol
Yeah I don't need a bunch of guns. Just a pistol for concealed carry if i can get a permit over there, a pistol for home defense...and my AR because i just love it + its fun at the range. I can understand why they wouldn't want people owning them though...too many young little punks riding around with guns feeling like drug dealers.

Its illegal for even medical card holders that dont grow to have guns, let alone growers. The ATF issued a statement on it or something Ill add a link. I remember spending some time a couple years ago looking up if you could have a registered gun at a grow,and what I found then was that your legal protections as a med grow vanish if you have guns at a grow,and if youre being prosecuted federally they can add all kinds of sentence enhancements that will double all the charges and add shit like racketeering.
If youre off anyones radar to begin with and would never have the attention of the police youre probably ok,but be prepared to have the book thrown at you if you ever have police there.

Yeah from the sounds of it that's more if you get charged on a federal level. But any normal legal home grow should be well below federal charges. Either way I'm going to keep my shit locked up. I don't want any problems from anyone. I just like to exercise my 2nd amendment right.

It's illegal to grow and have a gun. I had a whole bunch of guns and I had to sell them. The first things cops will do after they find your plants, is they will find your guns. Jut look how it looks in court when they show pictures of your plants and guns together. Also they will ask you if you grow pot when purchasing a gun. If you say no and buy the gun, they will bust you on perjury charges. Go buy a crossbow and a Katana for protection, do it up Walking Dead style.

On the bright side, if it is the feds that get you for it you will be in daycare compared to state lol. I would keep them but be very very wise about how you hide them cause they tear your house the f up when they raid... Especially after finding something worthwhile

This is just another way of saying to all weed producers and users that you're just a second class citizen. Can't own a gun, can't drive, can't have a job, can't travel freely, worry about your kids being taken away, can't even fucking talk freely... but fuck 'em all, we got good weed. I'm sure I missed a few other freedoms that have been jerked away only because we choose a safer alternative.

Besides the fact that it's an additional mandatory minimum sentence of 5-10 on top of whatever you get from weed... You're talking a double in sentence time. I personally think they would be more excited about hitting you with that charge
