growing advice for first timer?

:leaf::leaf::leaf::leaf:
alright, so i love weed. :weed: enough said.
and i started growing my own little "farm", if you will, with 12 plants crowded into 2 longways pots.
i figured id transplant em when they got big enough, but now they're too big to transplant so i'm just gonna leave em.
about three of the 12 plants have grown a little over a foot, and all are almost 2 months. i thought they would be bigger by now. shouldn't they have hit a growth spurt or something?
so the top of the plant is budding really nicely, but the leaves towards the bottom are dying, and i never realized until now that that's probably not very good.
was wondering what to do regarding the dying leaves.
also, heard eggshells was good for the plants as protein?
help a friendly newbie grower out. :hump:

they look horrible. you cant really see what im talking about in these, was taken over a month ago

to describe it better, the 'first-born' leaves towards the bottom of the stalk have dried out and died off the plant :(
i fear i am over-watering them. ( the brown things are from the trees outside.)

wondering if i should take them inside and get some lights? dunno what the deal is, i'm no expert on growing the ganja.

WOW, this is a first. whatever you do, if you wish to gain full potential from any of those plants, you need to get them into individual large containers, or seperate them and plant them freely outside. the seed leaves that died and withered off the plant are not a concern. there's much more going on here than that! lol you should read more threads/ and or books on the subject if you want to take it seriously and actually benefit from it. the way your growing those plants is far from optimal. best of luck however....

They look healthy!
The first set of leaves die off, this is normal.

Keep doing what you are doing!
great! thought i was killing them or something. no more leaves are dying, just the first-grown ones at the bottom

when is the growth spurt?
theyre about 2 months now, i have them in miracle gro soil LMAO i hope that will suffice b/c i can't transplant them now
when do they start budding?

(thanks for the encouragement!!)
i want to successfully grow my own plants this time

HAH yeah i know, i didn't really expect anything to come up, i just threw a bunch of seeds in together that i'd been saving, and 12 plants popped up.
how can i get them in seperate pots without damaging the roots?

yeah you need to get those in their own pots. it will be so much more beneficial. plus they should be taller than that. i have had better growth rate under lights though but you need bigger pots make sure you separate them too

you need to seperate them now while you still have time. My suggestion is to take a knife and cut your soil into cubes around the plants trying to stay outside the diamiter of the plant and scoop them out in their little space......put them in some good organic soil. Then decide if you are going to grow with chems or organic. You can't beat organic for taste and health of the plant. You should try a root stimulate when you transplant since you are going to being disturbing and probably cutting some of your roots, super thrive is good for this. Best of Luck and keep reading threads.:leaf:

Would put into individual containers, water, and keep under a light for a week or so and then transplant outside where they can get plenty of sunlight.
