I wouldn’t stress it honestly. It’ll get to you it might just take some time.Hmmm well maybe thats it then, they usually are pretty quick on turn around
Understandable. I know the deal and I’ve still been stressing the thing I’m waiting on too. Mostly because I really need it but I’m a little impatient at times too lol.Just worried me a bit haven't gotten any shipping info
I like and run HLG myself. So still no communication so im going to buy somewhere else any recommendations on led lights? I was looking at spider farmer??
Isn't Spider Farmer just a rebranded Mars?Spider farmers look nice. HLG is supposed to be better if you don't mind spending a pile more money. Seeing grow journals from both lights I personally cannot see any justification for the extra money but others may. I will likely go with a couple SP2000's or an SP4000 on my next run. No way for me to justify the price of HLG lights. That said I have never heard a complaint about HLG other than being over priced. I am pretty sure you would be happy with the results from either. Good luck with whatever you end up choosing.
Not sure, i may have to go with timber if i cant get an hlg shipped........Isn't Spider Farmer just a rebranded Mars?
I would highly recommend the Timber. HLG, Timber, two excellent lights. @Flatrate is really liking his Timber and @DoubleAtotheRON is really liking his HLG's. Either way you go, you won't be disappointed. Not sure, i may have to go with timber if i cant get an hlg shipped........
Not really, Mars uses Epistar chips while SF uses Samsung. The Spiders are a pretty close match to HLG without the sticker price being so inflated. Both the SF and HLG are made in China, just HLG is an American company. Going by power, build components and results there is no justification for HLG's added cost IMO. HLG has great lights, just feels like they are gouging people to me. That said I never hear anyone complain about results from HLG, Spider or Mars. In the end, I don't think anyone would be disappointed with light from either of the 3. As for Timber, I have done some reading and they seem like there are also very good lights. As long as we give our plants what they want they are happy, they don't care how much we spend nor do they read brand names.Isn't Spider Farmer just a rebranded Mars?
The SF’s are just a rebranded Alibaba light for double the price. If paying double the cost of an SF for an HLG isn’t justified, surely paying double the cost of an Kingbrite or Meijiu for an SF isn’t justified. Not really, Mars uses Epistar chips while SF uses Samsung. The thing that puts SF above the others in my book is they have local repair here in Ontario. I believe the SF lights have a 3 year warranty, Kingbrite has a 1 year warranty as far as I know. You are correct, you can find cheaper panels ordering direct from Alibaba Chinese distributors. I cannot speak to Kingbrite or Meijiu from Alibaba but hear bad things regarding shipping costs. As for SF being re branded Alibaba lights, technically so are almost all of them. SF and HLG are basically the same components both made in China just like all the other lights on Alibaba. You make good points thought. I am not here to tell anyone what to do or buy, I have no real issues with the products from any of these folks. The SF’s are just a rebranded Alibaba light for double the price. I’ve seen people report better customer service from Kingbrite and Meijiu than SF/Mars who want the panels shipped back at the cost of the customer.
SF may have repair options but they will also require you to send back the panel and most times the buyer has to pay shipping. If you have any significant issues with kingbrite panels/driver, they will send you a replacement which would arrive usually in less than 7 days without having to ship back the original. The thing that puts SF above the others in my book is they have local repair here in Ontario. We also get hit hard for import fees and brokerage charges here, buying outside Canada can be a real pain these days. I will take a look into those further, thanks for the info.SF may have repair options but they will also require you to send back the panel and most times the buyer has to pay shipping. The shipping is quite high at $55 for 1 240w or $70 for 2 but considering the panels are $106 it still comes out to half of an SF.
SF’s will still grow great bud there are just plenty of similar options for much cheaper.
HLG makes their boards in the US.
No originally they were made in china to keep cost down, very shortly after they started making them in the USAs for HLG, I was under the impression they are made in China for an American company? Is that not correct?
