Growers ARE allowed to accept reimbursement for meds.

i don't want people getting bad information, so i started this thread to let people know that it is perfectly legal to accept reimbursement for meds.

see ORS 475.304, part (7)

a registry identification cardholder or the designated primary caregiver of the cardholder may reimburse the person responsible for the marijuana grow site for the costs of supplies and utilities associated with the production of marijuana for the registry identification cardholder. no other costs associated with the production of marijuana for the registry identification cardholder, including the cost of labor, may be reimbursed.

we have some people around here spreading false information that this is a sale, and thus illegal.

these people are unfamiliar with the law and often attempting a CYA.

An individual who breaks a law that conscience tells him is unjust, and who willingly accepts the penalty of imprisonment in order to arouse the conscience of the community over its injustice, is in reality expressing the highest respect for the law. – Martin Luther King Jr.

If a law is unjust, a man is not only right to disobey it, he is obligated to do so. – Thomas Jefferson

If we're going to bow to the Federal law, this whole site might as well go poof.
I would consider it implied that State-compliant growers, vendors and users are seeking to change Federal law from within.
So it stands to reason that using Federal violation as a pretext to discussing State compliance is messed up.

This is not a subtle or incidental point, but at the core of the entire medicinal/legalize movement. Are you opposing that, mygirls? cn

of course it is all illegal in the eyes of the feds.

we're in the oregon section though, discussing oregon's laws.

i wanted to take a moment to stop being my trollish self here, and just make sure that everyone understands what the law is. that was my whole point in starting this thread.
