Grow with no tent in the attic

Consider how cold it will get up there during the winter. You've gotten some good advice, but the low temperature could be a deal breaker if we're talking about lower than mid 50s. Making some sort of enclosed space, as others have noted, whether with plywood or plastic sheeting, would be a good way to contain the heat from your light. Also, be sure to check the humidity levels, esp when it gets cold. Cold temperature growing can be a challenge, I would recommend treating the plant preemptively for fungal disease. A neem/silica spray every other week and/or a biological fungicide, like Serenade or, my favorite, Southern Ag Biological Fungicide, can help prevent many problems. It's easier to prevent fungal problems than to treat them. On the other hand, the purplest purple plant I ever saw in my life flowered in a VERY chilly room, so that's a plus.

@Rurumo thanks a lot for all your suggestions.

If you mean 50s Fahrenheit (which is around 10 celsius) yeah definitely, i think it may hit 35 Fahrenheit it the worst day.

For the way it is structured the Attic, it's hard to put anything around it, cause the are the support of the ceiling which block me, plus a lot of other issues that i won't list here.

So question is, is this a deal breaker? I mean, no chance that I can grow in this condition? or is it just hard (smaller crops, chances of getting bacteria, mold or fungi...) In few words what is the impact of the cold on most of the strain? it does not make them produce? or simply kill them? Not sure... I know other users that grow in very cold temperature, so that's the reason i though it was possible, not the best, but possible.

Also It is humid, crazy humid, yesterday i felt the leaf almost wed, this would be a "no game" for buds, so for the moment I've just set a strong fun pointing in the area to see if it can help..

Guys this is an experiment obviously, would be just sooo nice to be able to grow a little one outside when my tent can't take more than a small size plant.

If it's getting down to 35 F, I'd say, it's definitely a deal breaker unless you get creative. You'll definitely need to create an enclosed space, and probably will need to insulate it with foam board insulation or something similar, or say, a plywood box with sheets of that silver reflective insulation. Also, see if pulling air through the main house to the box is possible. That way you could pull warm, less humid air though the box constantly, which will probably be necessary at those temps, especially when the lights are off. Otherwise you would probably need supplemental heating and a dehumidifier. Cold temps really just slow down every aspect of growth, and greatly increase the chance of disease. The only time I ever struggled with bad powdery mildew was during a winter grow where temps dipped into the mid 50s (F).

yes were talking a smaller crop, saying that, if you can keep the roots at a warm tempreture then the plant will cope better. a cardboard box lined with polystyrene will help
place a piece of polystyrene in the bottom of the box, put the plant pot in on top of it, then surround the plant pot with it too. you can also make a lid for it with the polystyrene too

I would probably keep a radiator heater plugged in all day and night. Record how high you are able to maintain the temperatures. And rock a 400 watt hps.

Dang bro she looks beautiful!!! That ts600 is growing some gnarly buds!!! I assumed the ts600 would not grow good buds at all!!!
Also it might just be me but how high is your light hung above your plant?

I think it should be around 45/50 cm at ths moment, I just moved a little bit far away cause I was noticing some kind of leaves burn, I wonder if it should move it back closer, what you think?

She is in a 5 liter pot and I don't know how much she will give me but the previous one in an 11l pot under the ts600 gave me 80 gr which being a Newbie I think it was not too bad at all ;)

Lemme ask you something? why do you think that leaves having burn is because light is too close?

I used too work with 1000w hps(air cooled reflector) and my light would never burn my leaves due too light intensity I did get the light too close once and the center buds just turned albino white but nothing burned(atleast I don't think the leaves burned it was like 5 years ago)
So I highly doubt that a ts600 will produce any type of burn due too light intensity or heat?
Are you sure it isnt nutrient burn? Or nutrient deficiency?
Also bro 80 gram yield from a 90w led light is a great freaking yield that's almost 1gpu!!!!!!! Great job man

Wow cheers dude! U make me feel happy! I think I messed up something for this one and i think u hut the nail on the head , I LL bring back the light closer cause that's nutrient burnt..

When she was outside the tent it was so humid that in 1 month I water her once, so no nut at all, then once moved in the tent she is getting dry almost every two day and I started give her flowering AN nut, I think she probably suffering from having suddenly so much nuts, also she has some thrips that I'm trying to send to hell.. I'm keeping giving her nuts, now, I think is better than giving her nothing as there was a quick yellowing progression..

Anyway a mess with this one but I'm getting there!

Any suggestion is more than appreciated

The only suggestion I would give is if you are in soil don't water with nutrients everytime:) mix pure water feedings in there.
I currently grow in plastic buckets using rockwool grow cubes / hydroton clay pebbles so I water with nutrients heavy every time and honestly I don't really have any problems like these.

Yeah she is and thanks a lot! It's a northern light auto by royal queen seed (which I found amazing quality seeds)

Not an expert at all but I'm still a bit worry, I think she has quite strong nut burn and many leaves are drying out! She lost 50 percent of the leaves.

Apart this the buds look tasty

I think she has at least other 3 weeks in front

It depends by the strains..

I got some that should be harvestable between 8/9 weeks, other between 10/11, this one is 10/11

thats my third plant the other 8/9 two that are already harvested still took a bit more first one 12 and second one 14
