Grow Wall system/vertical growing

Hi guys I was wondering if any one had any experience using these grow wall systems?

Its a hydroponic drip system that you can hang on a wall. I figure that the advantages would be that lighting would be allot more effective.

If you put some of these panels to the oposite of the other and hang your light (2 x 600W Highpressure) vertically in the center of them, you have some nice light efficiancy.

I would like to do some SOC-like growing on the panels, no vegetative phase, only flowering with short plants in the minimum of time.

You also could do some rotation with these panels, just switch the supplied nutrition reservoir.


What do others think?

I have some doubts because I miss reports about successful usage of vertical home growing...

(but that is certainly because you US-people have less problems with space, unlike "europeans" like me, living in more or less crowded countries and compact cities )

Did anybody try or could someone give a hint where this has been discussed?

PS: as I heard the NASA was stopping these projects because these concepts were insufficient and all other word spreading around is just marketing bluff of manufacturers ... is that true?)
