What would be the most pounds i could get growing in a 55x55x79 tent, with 1000 watt mh/hps, using high yielding strain? if its only one pound what would be the point of using the tent when I have so much space in the room. Is it possibly to get atleast 2 more pounds out of the tent? If not ill just use my spare room or the basement. If someone could help it would be much appreciated.thanks

You are going to have to light up your basement to get more than a pound out of there IMO. The tents are good because it keeps the humidity even, the light out/in and smell in. Plus if you keep the small area clean you dont have to worry as much about stuff around your house contaminating your grow. You could do what I did, make your own custom box. Get some lumber, a power drill, screws and some white matte plastic. If you do go for a bigger area, and you havent bought your light/ballast yet, I would go for 2 600w bulbs to space out the light more which will increase yield. The other plus about having it in a contained area is you can increase the CO2, which will probably increase your bud more than any other factor.
Ok can you give me a rough estimate on this I need atleast two pounds is this feet possible with a 1000 watt light I was thinking about your idea with the lumber grow box and buying the tent to use as a perpetual do you think I should get a lager tent or use 15 gal pots and grow like four plants

You sure can man. Have no fear! A good Scrog can create massive amounts of bud, check it out. That's from a 400w light. Like Beef recommended use 2x600w and you will receive more yield. Goodluck to you man, be safe and live life everyone.
