grow tent

ok so im hearing all these bad things about grow tents. which brand names are the ones that have problems? i was looking into the hydrofarm habitat 84 or a hydro hut of the same size. i just dont wanna waste my money on this tent if my plants are gonna die. please help

Don't buy a pre made tent. You can build one for well under half the price, plus it is made you to your specifications. You can put your intakes, light hooks, exhaust, etc where ever you want them, not where the mnfg put them.
As far as the ones with problems, I have only heard of hydrohut having the problems with their plastic. But there may be others as well. Hydrohut was supossed to have fixed the problem, but I am not possitive.

The HH are the ones you need to lookout for.Ive read posts that they claim they have been fixed but I didnt want to take a chance.I went with the Secret Jarden Dark Room.I got the DR150W (wide) approx 4x5x7 which for me is perfect for smaller grows and still have room to spare.It was a snap to put together and plenty of velcro flap openings at the bottom as well as round draw string openings for venting top or bottom.The pole frame is sturdy and the entire inside has a shiney reflective fabric that is super easy to keep clean.It also has a seperate floor mat made of the same material to keep things cleaner.The zipper issue on them seem to be fixed cuz mine is super thick and as long as your carefull and pay attention to what your doing it shouldnt have any problems.Im no way a tent guru but did quite a bit of research before I got it and felt it was the way to go.I see many just as nice homemade units for way cheaper but I would turn it into a disaster.I have a few pics of it in my jounal if you wanna peep it.Good luck with your decision and grow!

I heard the secret jardin tents work well. dont know from experience. just from reading on this site.
