Hey all. first timer here and I gotta say it's pretty exciting watching my babies go from seedlings to plants. I have read soooo many posts and threads on just about every forum on the web and its really been hard what to make of it all. From what ive gathered it's really all trial and error and patience.

Now here's my situation. I have 4 joint dr. Auto flower low Ryders going under a 400w hps in2'7x2'7x5 grow tent with a 6in inline fan attached to a fresh filter running thru the hps and out thru the inline which is sitting on top of the tent which is in my closet. the set up is quite clutch if I do say so myself. (pictures to come)

Now to let you know what I've been doing. I popped my cracked seedlings into soil on 4/15/2012 they sprouted 4/20-4/21/2012. I am using happy frog soil in 3 gallon pots and have just been using distilled water with a PH of 6.4-6.5, my humidity is at 25% temp is steady at 85 degrees. I occassionally do a mist in the tent and i have 2 clip on fans mounted to the sides blowing down and keeping the air circulating. i water so all soil is moist and i dont let it run off more than 10%. i made it thru the germination stage and actually have some foliage. I will be utilizing the 18/6 routine thru out. 1 of the diesel Ryders shot up 3 inches in one day like it was stretching for the light. So I topped off the pot with more soil and it seemed fine. Now all my girls are growing. None of them are stunted, shocked or have mold. The leaves are curling and turning yellow on a couple of them. It started as a yellow spot which looked like nute burn. How can there be nute burn if I'm only using water? Can the soil be too strong? Should I be giving them nutes now? Or should I not ? Should I use something else besides distilled water? Is my ph wrong? Also I am starting to notice that the leaves are a very lite green I'm pretty sure there is definitely a deficiency of some sort? How do I tell? What can I do to solve this issue. PLEASE HELP.

might be hot soil..... but could be many things

are the lights too close to your plants causing heat stress? (you siad one had stretched so i doubt it)
are you watering too much?... water then let it dry (seriously its important)
have you added any perlite/ ect .... it also helps the soil drain so the seedling/plant can breath
could be a pest .... worth checking, seen any crawlers?

Could be anything. We're going to need pictures or anything anyone says here is just a guess. heat stress? over watering? under watering? How big are they? Is it the first set of leaves just yellowing and falling off?

kuda never use the pic uploader here at the site. if you need to pull them down roll wont do and if you complain he will ban you. Use a third party like photobucket and just paste the image code in the reply that way you control your own images. The site goes down and it looses stuff right now they are changing servers again so pics are down...I agree pics will help..Sounds like an over watering and hot soil mix may have caused lock out but will see when pics come....ps always use multiple proxies when coming here to hide your ip trail

From those photos your girls look pretty much fine to me. I see some tips browning but to be honest, to me they just look dry. The soil looks dry. I'd saturate them until I had some nice run off and do that every time the top layer is dry. Past that I'm not seeing any real problems.

one on the bottom right looks like its showing magnesium deficiency but hard to tell exactly coz of the bright yellow/orange light. what kinda soil u got? if its manufactured does it have a pH? are u checking the pH of your water and of your feeding ? Keep an eye on it but dont freak out. if u can get some pics under natural light and go closer it will be alot eeasier to tell.

Ya I'm using happy frog soil. I always check the ph of the water and nutrients I give it. It's difficult to tell what's going on because these are all low Ryder strains and there isn't a feeding chart or recommended nute serving so I've been guessing. My next adventure will standard plants not auto flower/ low Ryders.
