Quick question for anyone with experience with air flow design in grow tents. I've read the many posts on this and got an idea of what i think will work best for my setup but i just have a few ?'s!

I've got a 4' x 4' x 7' grow tent that will have a 600watt hydro farm hood with these

attached to create an air cooled hood. The thing is i have two 6inch 240 cfm duct fans already that i'm gonna use and the fittings on the hydrofarm hood kit is 4 inch. Basically my question is will this reduction cause too much of a resistance or is it anything to worry about or any reason i should avoid this? and if so in that case I would assume the next best route would be to have seperate ducts for cooling the hood and the normal air circulation for the plants. I prob wont have a carbon filter tho because as of now I'm experimenting with garden veggies in this tent so it'll just be open ducting. Also would it be smarter to put the fan blowing through the carbon filter inside the tent > light hood > out of room instead of the fan on the top pulling the air thru the hood? Sorry if that doesnt make much sense, I'm new to this! :blsmoke:

here's a pic to assist my mediocre desriptions:

Try this setup
fan 1 draws air from outside of tent thru light hood and pushes it back out of tent.

fan 2 draws air thru Filter and blows out of tent.

Install a passive air return, (2- 4" elbows) to create a negative pressure.

Leave filter unhooked till smell is a problem.

I reduce from 4"-6" with no problems.
