Grow tent too hot, + rep for help!

High Time 420

Hi peeps,

I have a darkroom 60 with 1 single plant inside running a 250w hid.

My temps are way too high even though i have a small inline fan(110 m3/hr), and passive intakes.

I also have negative air pressure inside the tent, which i know is good.

Can anyone help me out with this problem, maybe rearrange my setup?

Peace.

It sounds like you need to pull more air from the cabinet, try getting a more powerful exhaust fan, I am using a 165 cfm fan pulling hot air from my airhood then leaves the cabinet via the exhaust

Run you lights at night I start mine @ 9pm that will also help a little if the temps drop during the evening

The fan is pull 2 cubic meters every minute, my tent is 0.5 cubic meter.

The air is being changed almost 4 time a minute, so why is it still to hot?

hey i have a 250watt hps int my tent its a budbox 75x75x1.6, my fan is 180 cfm, i have no intake just leave one of the flaps on the side open and it draws the air in, i also use a 6 inch clip on fan inside to move the air around, my temp sits around 82, i have not had problems yet, you could always use a 6 inch fan as the outatake just open one of the holes in the top and position the fan so it is blowing out the hole, if you dont know what i meen just say and i will try to explaine better

good luck

your set= 180cfm
his setup=65cfm

see his problem?
the heat is building up faster then your fan can remove it

where is your tent at? i put mine down in the basement where it is cooler to begin with. it makes it much easier to cool the tent in a cool place so to speak. if you cant find enough air movemnet with fans try to use ice bottles or even dry ice witch will give you co2 also if you wrap it tight enought it will last longer

what is the temperature of your intake air? example if you are pulling air from an 80 degree room to cool a 100 degree tent, that won't work so well. sometimes a/c is the only answer if stronger wind doesn't do it.
