Grow tent question

I decided to dump my home made wooden grow box and get a Virtual Sun grow tent. Now that it is all set up, it seems that the suction is a bit too high, causing the walls of the tent to bow inward. The ventilation slots along the bottom are these velcro flaps, they open but do not fix open. Are these supposed to be taped open or is it enough to have them closed as they are an the air that bleeds through the velcro is sufficient?

you need a bit of suction in you tent but not loads and i open my flaps at the bottom of my tent on really hot days or if i have to speed my fan up to sounter the heat and suction but TBH i really dont know wha there there for it might be for a passive intake

If it's causing the walls of your tent to bow you either need to decrease suction or make sure all your air intakes are open,if there's no way to secure the flaps open use duct tape.Good luck brother

My tent has a velcro stip along the top of the lower intake ports. It is used to hold the flaps open. Does your tent have that strip?

Mine does not have a velcro strip to secure the vent flaps open. This seems like fairly big design flaw. I was very concerned about the mylar tent material pressing against the lamps because of that inward bowing, so I guess I'm just going to have to duct tape the flap open.
