Grow tent inside closet - will I have enough space & specs ?

Hi all,

This will be my first grow and I'm planning on putting a tent inside a closet. The closet is pretty small, 44" x 24" X 72".

This tent will fit, http://www.amazon.com/LEDwholesalers-GYO1001-62-Inch-Reflective-Hydroponic/dp/B00283Q59M/ref=pd_sbs_indust_4 so I'm going to go with it.

The tent is 36" x 20" by 62" so it will fit, but it will be a tight fit. With this size tent, is 250W my best option or is 400W doable? I obviously don't want heat to be an issue but I plan on getting 400CFM intake and outtake fans & carbon filter.

I'm thinking about going with a hydrofarm cooltube, seems space efficient. Is 6" a good size?

I'm pretty clueless on ballasts so is the link above a good bundle?

All thoughts appreciated!

Turns out I'm going with the secret jardin DR90II. If I'm using a 400CFM in-line fan, what should the CFM be of my booster fan?

What do you need a booster fan for, 400 cfm centrifugal should be more than enough, also i hope you are planning on dumping that hot air some where out side that closet area.

I thought I needed a booster fan to bring in fresh air to the tent? I read/watched videos and they said you need a booster fan CFM equivalent to the centrifugal CFM. Or will open flaps and an oscillating fan cover that?

I've ditched the closet idea so I'll just have the tent in a bedroom - any issue there?

No you don't need a booster fan and you would have a hard time finding one that could match the cfm's of a centrifugal fan, booster fans are built to be boosted not to serve as stand alone ventilation fans, negative air pressure from the air being pulled out of the tent will create enough suction to adequately ventilate the tent. The bed room sounds fine just watch out for light leaks, as far as the package goes it looks like an alright deal but you could probably pick up something cheaper and a bit better if you shopped around.

Hydro has a steep learning curve if you fuck up you can kill your plants pretty quickly, i am currently on my first grow and i am using what is called a super soil basically its a water only mix so i don't have to worry about fertilizing or anything every thing my plants need is already in the soil, i just water my plants with straight water every so many days its pretty cool stuff and it can help beginners get the hang of things. Here is a link to my grow the recipe for the super soil is in the first post, https://www.rollitup.org/grow-journals/559980-my-first-grow-400-watt.html
