Grow tent in cabinet build critique

Hello everyone,

Very new to growing and am looking into starting with a small batch of 2-3 plants in my cabinet. I am planning on starting with feminized autoflowering seeds. I live in the Netherlands so I can't purchase from American online vendors.

The dimensions of the space are 78x52x136. Another thing to consider is that I can't cut out holes in my cabinet so the cabinet doors would have to be open for the ventilation. I've read that carbon filters remove the smell so I'll buy that as well.

So what I was thinking (looking for critique):
Growtent - 40x40x120 - GROWLAB GL40 - Cost - 72 Euro + shipping

Lighting:
250w GIB HPS bulb
250w GIB magnetic ballast with cables

Prima Klima Carbon filter 100mm - 240m3/h
2m Aluminium ventilation duct 102mm
VKO100 fan 105m3/h
2m ventilation duct 102mm
Soil and nutrients

1x Gold Label SoilB120ml
1x Gold Label UltraMG 60ml
1x Gold Label UltraPK 60ml
1x Gold Label Roots 60ml
1 x Gold Label Special Mix 50L
Accessories:
1x Digital Hygrometer/Thermometer with memory function and two measuring points
1x Timer Legrand, Omnirex
1x 3m Diamond mylar 122cm wide
1x 50ml plastic measuring cup
5x 20x20 pots - 6.5 L

I was going to buy a starter package cause I figure someone more knowledgeable than me put it together and it should have all I need - Cost - 250 Euro plus shipping

My questions are

1) Is my cabinet too small for a 40x40x120 growtent?
2) Is the package deal any good or would I get a lot better value/quality if I put it together myself
3) Since I'm probably going to use autoflowering seeds, do I need to buy a MH lamp for the growth phase as well (the ballast in the package is for both MH and HPS)?
4) Is 2 plants in the growtent about as much as I should do?

Thanks

I have one question. Is the cabinet simply for stealth reasons? Are there compelling reasons why you couldn't just use the tent? The cabinet, especially with no holes could severely limit ventilation and hinder heat management.

Having been stung before (cabinet, not tent), I would be wary of packages unless you research the individual components and they meet your requirements. Have you read any reviews on the components listed?

An interesting exercise would be to compile a list of "dream" components, using the items contained in the package as a base. Then you could compare the individual items to find the ones that affect price the most.

Having said that, I too wonder about setting up a tent. (I'm dissatisfied with cabinet growing... Because I bought a bad cabinet package!) Perhaps one of our experienced tent-ers can provide some insight.

What is the proper environment for a tent, and what are the must have components for a tent?

I agree having the doors open and not creating a ventallation system on your cabinet could cause you some heat problems. I run a 2x4 veg tent and 2 4x4 flower tents. Hydropinic setups. LED lights. Any questions feel free if you decide to move to a tent.
And Ithen couldn't be for stealth reasons if you have to keep the doors open in it.
Why can't you cut any holes in cabiet?

I could have it outside the cabinet. It's just that I live in student housing so it's possible that once in a while someone might have to come into my room. If that's the case I could just put the growtent in the cabinet for that time since it wouldn't be long.

I haven't done much research into the individual components yet but will be doing so in the course of the next few weeks. Was just hoping someone had some experience with these components and could give some input.

Sounds like a scetchy place to grow But not my place to say. I think hps is going to be very hot. Maybe a flourecent or t5 light fixures in your above explained setup ^

Forgive my ignorance but would a 250 HPS really produce a lot of heat?

my t5 lights make my closet pretty darn hot cause there's no ventallation. Just an open door. You'd be surprised how heat works it builds up. If your room gets good ac blowing in you'll be fine im sure.

I have the GrowLab GL60 with a 250w HID in the closet. I vent in in my bedroom with proper fax/scrubber. It will produce some heat and you will need the fan which will cause some noise.
