grow tent equipment

I'm lookin to buy a grow tent maybe a 4 ftr but I need to be sure of what I need regarding ventilation light and somewhere to put my plants on any help would be great.

Well if your doing hydro you'll need alot more floor room on a 4x4 tent. Soil leaves a little more space typically. Other than that you basically need timers, 6 inch vent tube, some kind of squirrel fan and a carbon filter. Might wanna invest in some inline fans too. Also, if your looking for a low price check ebay. Got mine for 125 shipped and the quality is great.

Choose soil or hydro. i grow hydro, so i can only help with that sort of growing. then choose a light. I would hang a 300 or better watt light in there with a cooltube installed. I would also add a 8 inch duct fan. to that i would add a carbon filter. make the exhaust vent through only the carbon. Make the duct fan the most powerful force in your tent. suck the air out of the tent basically.

the carbon will help with the smell ALL pot plants give off. Believe me, the smell is something to deal with when planning your vents. the cool tube does not need to have carbon since its sealed. Its basically a tube of glass which surrounds the light and contains the heat, allowing its fans to remove the hot air from the tube. this with the exhaust fan, should keep you cool.

I have a 4x8x7 and love it. As far as light I would get a 600 watt electric ballast that way you can use both MH and HPS when you need it off of one ballast (not at the same time). As for a good light hanger do not get the yo yo style adjustable light hanger. I had a couple break on me and messed up my lights and plants before. Ive been using the new light hanger adjusters that look like a small pulley, there cheaper and better made.
For ventalation it depends on weather or not your using a air cooled light hood. On my 600s wich are air cooled I use a 6" 400cfm fan and it does great at both keeping the light cool and ventalating the whole tent.
What do you mean where to put your plants? Are you growing soil or hydroponics?

Thanx for da input con I am planning on growing hydro maybe u would know about some complete grow tent kits too make it easier on me kinda confusing. It will be my first indoor grow and I want it too be good...also looking for the tent to be stealthy if possible thanx

Are. Those grow tents any good with smell control.and sound I would like as much info on these tents as possible before I begin and if its not too much for you guys out there helping me out I. Wouldn't mind if you would be able to provide me with a "shoping list"for my goodies I. Would appreciate all the help I really want to make this worrk...by the way I will be putting this tent in my closet

Well I found a 48x20x48 inch grow tent includes a 48inch t5 light fixture with 4 6500 k bulbs 1 inline duct fan and a 6inch 2 speed clamp on fan several vent holes. Thermometer/hygrometer ...so I was wonderin if that's good enough for a closet set up with family in the house I'm trying to keep everythin low-pro anyone have any comments/ideas for my set up leave feed back would really appreciate.

Go to the www.kitbagshop.com these do full kits and ship world wide i have had one of them for about 2 yr now and it has been very good go with a 600 hps kit.The only thing that i would suggest asking is can you get one with a cool hood rather than a cool tube i have tried a cool tube and they take away luman's from yr light........tyke..............

As far as smells go, depending on the stain, there going to smell during flowering no matter where your growing at wether its a tent,cabinet or full out grow room and thats where your carbon filter comes in. You can save yourself a lot of money by looking up how to make your own carbon filter and from what Ive seen there fairly easy to make. Ive seen people use the air filter from a cars cool air intake and fill it up with activated carbon and it worked great. They also have gels that work great for small areas.
I have both types of lighting in my tent. I have a 4ft 8 bulb t5 setup and a 2ft 6bulb t5 and 2 600watters HPS/MH and If I could only have 1 or the other it would defintiley be the HID with the HPS and MH but the t5's are very nice when there little or in veg.

I have a new tent setup and have been very pleased with the control I have over the grow space. I placed a 4" carbon filter at the high point of the tent, ducted it to a 6" cooltube 400 w hps, then ducted out to a 4" vortex operated with a variable speed control. The intake is also a 4" vortex on a var. speed control located outside the tent and sucking air from a large crawspace...intake is drawn through an automotive air cleaner. I have found that I can control my temps easily with small adjustments of the fan speeds......I wish I had done a tent long ago! It's very stealthy with less nise than a standard bathroom vent fan.....got the carbon filter and matching fan, second fan and speed controls from amazon......fair prices and working GREAT...

I changed my mind on the size I'm lookin towards a 2ftrx5ft height..any inputs more than welcome ...I will be making this tent and equipment purchase by Friday. Once I get paid ...any ideas about the 2 ft tent by 5. ...would it be any good when it comes to yielding of the plant if not what will be good...and how much should I expect.in dry weight ...I wuz thinking about auto.flowering female seeds or plain females to guarantee me sum buddzz what you guys think.
