Hey guys:

I've got my current ventilation being pulled through my light (light is intake) and exhausted out..

I'm going to get a carbon filter in a few weeks, and have NO idea how I'm going to make it run in the system.

I've got a 250w hood (ballast outside) & inline fan in there now

The only solutions I can come up with, involve taking the hood out of the equation.. which I don't really want to do because air cooled lights are the shit, temps run amazing

Hang the carbon filter at the top of the tent. Pull air from the top of the tent (hottest), through the carbon scrubber, which them goes through ducting to your hood, which is then connected to your fan. Fan blows out of the tent.

This works really well with a 6" cooltube with a 1000w HPS hung vertically.

ur gunna have to make some kind of rubber gasket for the glass on ur hood (or it will stink when u start to flower)..im surprised its an air cooled hood with no gasket!!!!..once u do u can pretty much set it up like mine... Fan with a T or Y rite off of it, have one part of the T or Y going to the hood and the other going to the filter..then out the other side of the fan just blow it out one of the vent holes! im hooking up my other light tonight,im gunna have 2 600w lights and 1 filter running off 1 fan! :D

I don't want to permanently modify anything yet.. I'm trying to keep it as simple as possible until I find a rhythm ;)

I'm wondering.. If I take the hood out of the equation, and just run the below, will everything be cool enough?

Carbon filter > inline fan > exhaust

The inline is 171 cfm, the carbon filter is like 205cfm. Do you think the inline/carbon filter would keep the tent cool enough JUST by venting a bunch of air? Again 2x2x5 tent, so about 20 cubic feet.

Sup guys....................anyone know of a GOOD dehumidifier I can buy to put in my tent................i think i have humidity issues.............
my Humidity is somedays at 77% with the tent door closed, if I open it it'll drop sometimes to around 60% after a few minutes..........
I am 1 week into bloom now and can't afford to get my crop ruined by high humidity..............

tnx in advanced.

What size tent do you have? I think anything over 25-30 liters will do for a small tent, bigger tents might require a 40+liter per day unit. I dsont think there is much difference between brands. Mine is Goldstar 45 liter, kinda noisy. It pulls out 1-2 gallons a day. It keeps the humidity at 35% n/p for me with 26 plants in an 8x8 area.
